d20pfsrd.com lists "drag" and "reposition" combat maneuvers, not in CRB

Product Discussion

I thought d20pfsrd.com was pretty good about labeling 3rd party content, but I was surprised to not be able to look up the "drag" combat maneuver at the table because it wasn't in the Pathfinder PHB. What's up with that?

They are from the APG.

Those two combat maneuvers are from the Advanced Player's Guide, as Cheapy pointed out.

So is that supposed to be "core"? My group never played with anything beyond the PHB1, MM1, DMG1 in 3.5. Is any book that Paizo puts out going to be incorporated in d20pfsrd.com without noting the source, or is the APG special?

"Core" so far has consisted of the hardbacks as far as the what has been seen in the srd material. However if you choose to not use such things that is fine too.

The hardback material isn't listed out separately because it is part of the "pathfinder roleplaying game" line of products (if what I understand is correct). Stuff from the campaign, players and adventure path lines are usually listed as separate types of content.

Most sections of the srd have a text box at the bottom that provides the references for material in that section.

As far as combat maneuvers go the following are listed in the APG: Steal, Drag, Reposition, and Dirty Trick.

The Section 15 copyright notices have been added to the rules for Dirty Trick, Drag, Reposition and Steal under the Combat Maneuvers section on d20pfsrd.

d20pfsrd.com is not a Paizo website. Search for the PRD for the official paizo version. The APG is essentially the PHB2 of PF, and is one of the most highly regarded books I've seen.

On the PRD, you will find the new combat maneuvers under additional rules under the Advanced Players Guide section. I'd link you, but I am on the phone.

The Exchange

As Cheapy said, d20pfsrd.com is NOT from Paizo.

We don't determine what is and isn't "core" and we try to indicate the source of content regardless of where it came from.

However, some content, such as that from the Advanced Players Guide or other books from the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game product line are integrated INTO the site wherever it makes the most sense and when possible, we try to indicate what book it was from. In the case of the new Combat Maneuvers, we didn't (though thanks to x93edwards, it is now identified.)

That seems like an unenjoyable task, so I'll give you +1 Internet karma for doing it.

Even if my DM doesn't like the APG, I might still get to use the new maneuvers: I hear people are house ruling to make Feint include Dirty Trick, Disarm include Steal, and Bull Rush include Drag and Reposition (because it's too many feats and maneuvers are too hard to do).

And for this, I heartily thank you! Knowing at a glance what is a disease spell, for example, of having all the archetypoes of a class listed after the class, is a huge time saver for me both professionally and as a player.

There is the option to drag and reposition your enemy, as part of the original Grapple rules. Not sure why they thought it needed another maneuver (and the associated feat, and the associated Greater feat...).

I would certainly be in favour of merging some of those maneuvers; even if you don't perform all at once, have them be multiple options within one attack mode, in the same way a grappler has the option to maintain a grapple to pin, deal damage, move the target, etc.
