Gencon PFS Newb Questions

For the Ruins of Bonekeep event, will pregen characters be available? I recently started Pathfinder (at Origins), but won't have a level 5 PFS character by then.

I believe they will be available, but highly discouraged. Bonekeep is intended to be very difficult, and geared more toward hard-core optimized PCs. Pregens generally just don't cut the mustard.

I see. I guess I'll see where I'm at in August. I was hoping to do the Season 6 kickoff which seemed more appropriately scaled to my level, but I apparently missed the boat on that one.

You could probably play a level 7 pregen in the lower tier and contribute fine, but I think it would take away from the experience. Part of the fun of facing these extra-deadly scenarios is to have a character you've fostered from level 1 and to see how well it can do.

I think I'm going to find a different Saturday night event. I didn't know how hardcore it was when I signed up. Maybe next year. Thanks for the info!
