Where'd my GM stars go?

Still at 41 tables of credit / 2 stars, should be 61 tables for my third star just earned over the weekend.

Also We Be Goblins is giving me a warning that I already ran it for credit - but it should be available for multiple credits (these were applied to 2 different characters).

The level 1 repeatables saying that has been an issue for a long time. That is not a new "bug".

I went from 105 tables to 51.

This issue was first reported on June 13th, it's seems really stupid that the web developer cannot fix this in 2 weeks. Whoever is in responsible should be fired - seriously. Mistakes happen but to not be able to fix it for 2+ weeks is ridiculous.

As my mother would say, this is a storm in a teacup.

The reason this isn't being fixed isn't because a web developer has been working on it for two or more weeks solid and hasn't yet come up with a fix; it's because the person who will be making the fix has been busy doing things that Paizo consider to be more important.

This isn't the end of the world; all it means is that a vanity badge isn't showing up properly. The only possible negative consequences would be if you needed the extra stars to run an exclusive module (or to get the right modifier on a table re-roll), and I'm pretty sure anybody concerned would take your word for it - after all, when was the last time you saw somebody actually demand to see proof of star status?

Calling for heads isn't cool for something so trivial. I'm more fascinated by what kind of flaw would cause such bizarre and random miscalculations.

I'm not sure when or why customer service items should be trivialized, it erodes confidence in Paizo. I have never worked at a company where the customer facing portals were trivialized or thought of as low on the totem pole. If a customer sees it, it's a critical item because it reflects on you as the company.

Yeah, I really don't see this as a big deal either. All the data is still there. Your star ratings are still the same as they were.

The person in charge of this has many other things on their plate. Con season is coming up and that will ALWAYS be the most important item on any RPG companies list of priorities. These stars are nice but honestly, they will be back eventually, until then be patient.

Also no one on Paizo's staff has said it is trivial. The have repeatedly said it is being worked on. And programming is never as simple as non-programmers think.

If Paizo wants their company to look amateurish because they can't fix a simple internet bug in 2 weeks have at it.

It makes me wonder if they are in over their heads.

Have you ever written an angry-but-unconstructive message, felt better, then deleted it without posting? I think you forgot that last step.

Have you ever TRIED finding a good sneetch machine technician on short notice?

Okay everyone, let's just calm down. Remember, we're all human here and we are coming upon PaizoCon and a whole bunch of other big events. There is a lot on people's plates right now. I totally understand, as there have been days in the past I got frustrated too, but breathe. It's all good.

There are much more important things to get combative about. Trust me.

Chill out. You can count the GM tables by hand, if necessary. It's not that hard.

I get it some people have unconditional love for Paizo. I'm not in that boat.

I understand some people have personal connections with folks at Paizo and that helps you get in that boat, and any view to contrary is something you take offense too.

So, yes I'm frustrated that this issue has not been resolved after a lengthy time, and I am a customer who spends lots of money and time with this company, if my complaint doesn't matter then OK it doesn't matter but I want it to be heard.

Better system!

1. Go to My Pathfinder Society and log in.
2. Click on the "sessions" tab then "show GM sessions"
3. You should see a list of all your GM'd tables. Using your mouse, drag and select (scrolling down as needed) all of the data that populates.
4. Copy this data (ctrl+c)
5. Open up Word or Open Office
6. Paste the data into it (ctrl+v)
7. Do a find command (ctrl+f) and look for your PFS number. It should appear once for each table of credit you have. For example, my number appears 188 times.

Ta-da!

Edit: Walter, that doesn't count double credit. I suppose if you have everything you can use the Find command on the +2 GM credit phrase, but that might be a little more headachy.

DOUBLE EDIT: Actually, the +2 GM credit tag isn't even showing up right now, so I still have to go manually count those it looks like.

Have you ever developed and implemented proprietary software, and dealt with the bugs that arise?

at the moment I'm missing a lot of tables (showing as 1 star when I should be 3 star getting relatively close to 4 stars - may make it to 4 stars by next year) glad it wasn't just me or some new policy that involved credits expiring.
