Doug Miles wrote:Everyone please understand that your session credit will be restored, eventually. In the big picture at Paizo, this bug is not a high priority. They have product release schedules, turnover deadlines, PaizoCon, PFS Season 6, GenCon, etc. A lot of irons in the fire right now. Mike & John have no control over website bugs. Feel free to make jokes and share your mock dismay. Just be patient and realize that it may not be fixed today or even this week.True, but I'm one module (which I'm currently running) from three stars!
It'll be like taking a -1 on shirt rerolls!
I could DIE!
... well, I'll just tread carefully for the next little while...
I am very close as well... I assume that if you were concerned, you could print out your GM session list, and prove you've earned the stars. Assuming it just doesn't keep showing them.

I heard that it's the compromise for everyone who has been arguing for more re-playability of scenarios. By wiping out everyone's table credit, now everything can be played again.
Disclaimer: I totally just made that up, but someone is going to take it and run with it anyway because it's the intarwebs.

It'll be fine, they've likely been backing up that data so this should be solvable once the web team gets the time to fix it.
There's a thread on the website feedback forum about this issue, you might want to read about it.

Hmmm... quite strange. I'm down to 6 (from 120ish). Can't find a pattern - I've run 5 modules/APs and 2 specials... I guess I've run 6 modules/specials, that could be it. But I'm quite sure Doug has run more than 2 of those. I've run at more than 6 events.
Time based? Recent would drop Doug a lot - I've run 6 since March 23rd. Anyone else match on that?

I'm guessing it has something to do with Thornkeep games run...
But I have been wrong before...

It's probably an easy one to fix, if someone digs in.
The fact that people are seeing varying amounts is a clue. Could be an unexpected null throwing an exception, and the null hits different users in different points of the tallying - thus the different count totals.
Or, someone tripped over a cord.

I am worried about running a couple events this weekend. I bet when they get reported my stars will be wiped out.
Doubtful; considering that the fifth star has requirements beyond table count, it's probably something that the system doesn't actually use table count to determine, but rather is a manual "flag" they have to hit you with. Since you've already been beaten by the flagpole, you're safe.

I reported 3 new tables yesterday and retained my stars. I think that SCPRedMage is correct.

Considering the source, I'm sure Mr. Baird was mocking those who are concerned about their stars.
Pathfinder Society Stars and Table Credits: Where everything's made up and the points don't matter. Because, seriously, they're just a vanity.
If you're that concerned about your table credits, you already know how many you have without having to sign into Paizo.

TOZ, I highly doubt you're one of the people fretting over table counts.
I probably didn't sufficiently communicate "Those who are concerned about losing all their table credit when reporting an event during this Paizo website 'crisis' probably already know their numbers." Those who treat the problem as "Business as usual; Paizo will fix" are not subject to the comment.

I can see it affecting a small number of people for rerolls as they cannot print their new stars card. For online play it is worse as you cannot point to your avatar's stars.
Hmm, what's the chances that someone fails a critical roll because they cannot prove their stars for a reroll?
Or of course you give everyone the benefit of the doubt that they have 5 stars ;-)

Well, something changed. The other day it said I had 0 tables of credit. Today it said I had 26. I just reported a session, it says 27 tables. But, I should have 32 tables, and the 32 (well, 31, but one is a module) are listed under GM sessions.
So, there's still some bug in the system, even if things are different from before.
(Hopefully I'll get that 2nd star back at some point....)

Man, people actually ask to see ID cards for those rerolls? I don't doubt you, but it's not something I've ever even encountered. Expect table variation, or something, I guess.

If someone really wants to lie to me, they'll probably going to get away with it. I've never asked to see someone's ID card. In fact, I usually have to remind people that they have a star bonus they weren't including.
