Kingmaker Map

Hey guys,
So I just stitched together the Kingmaker Map since I'm going to be playing Kingmaker, from my DM's PDF.
I understand that this is probably too technical for people unacquainted with photoshop, acrobat, and tile printing, but I'm going to give it a shot for all those people who want a printed version of the map without buying the poster. Of course, if you really like Kingmaker then you should just go and buy the poster map if it is available.

If Paizo asks, I'll make the file private, but until then anyone can access it.

If the link doesn't work, then it is also here:

Almost everyone has Acrobat Reader or Acrobat Pro, so here is how to print this HUGE file at home.

Open Acrobat, drag or open it (the map) in Acrobat, go to print, Look for PAGE HEADDING, set PAGE SCALING to TILE LARGE PAGES, and print.

Congrats, you have your very own Kingmaker Overland map that is spanned across 21 pages. Yes, it is enormous, but that is roughly the size the poser would come in.

Well, that is all for now.
Cheers.

Being a graphic designer by trade, I was able to do that for our Kingmaker group too, but I didn't want to risk breaking the law by posting it.

I can't believe you even got the place names gone. That's pretty impressive! It took me forever to erase the stitch lines (unfortunately, Photoshop's automatic blending features proved pretty worthless, so I had to do it manually).

Here's our map (which I don't mind posting now since it has stuff all over it at this point). Warning! Possible spoilers behind that link!

If you download the file to your hard drive and open it to 100%, it is positively HUGE.

I even went so far as to research and purchase the font used on the map (P22ParrishRoman) for $25 so I can match the fonts with our own kingdom and settlement names.

And just for kicks, here's some of our kingdom heraldry that I illustrated.

Left to Right: Thunder Lizard Brigade (colossal kobold army), Kaerulus's official seal and militia standard, Kaerulus' spy network (rarely used in the open)

I love being a graphic designer. :D

Sorry, bad link. The heraldry.

dotting for awesomeness

Le dot.

Oh, very cool.
The worst that Paizo will do, if you cooperate, is ask you to take it down or make the link private. From how I understand Paizo, they are not jerks, and wont sue you for monetary gain because you posted something that anyone who buys the AP will get in the package.

The maps were in the PDF, I just unpacked it into photoshop and found the images that were large. The text was already missing, so it was advantageous in that respect.

WHAT!? I bought the PDF too and everything was locked up tighter than a Tophet's belly!

I had to SCREENSHOT it in sections then spend hours stitching it all together because it asked for a password whenever I tried to import it directly into Photoshop!

Where the hell did you get your map!?

I just opened the PDF the DM gave me in photoshop and sifted through the 600 images stored therein.

Ah. You probably got the interactive Kingmaker map pack, which includes all the maps of all six adventure modules (and probably some Kingdomb building tokens and the like too I'd imagine). All I ordered was the Kingmaker Poster Map Folio, which is a much older product.

Would have ordered the interactive one had I known it was available.

I searched everywhere on Paizo's website and I could not find anything remotely like an interactive Kingmaker map pack. The only thing I could find was the Kingmaker Poster Map Folio. Could someone here provide a link to the interactive Kingmaker map pack?

CB out.

bump!

Hmm, maybe. I am unsure as to if Pro is needed or not.
