Today, all PFS players in Brazil were awarded a free reroll for each session of PFS that they play for the next 48 hours. Congratulations on a 3-1 win over Croatia (even though one goal was a gift of a PK). Tough break Croatia and Slovenia region, but you will have another shot on June 18.

Tomorrow four more countries are on deck - Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, and Australia!

My public Facebook can be found Here

For those not on Facebook, here is the post:

For tomorrow (Friday the 13th), there are three games in the World Cup that have four active PFS Player Bases. However, they don't all play each other. So, here's what we are going to do.

The winner of the Spain vs Netherlands match nets their PFS player base a free reroll for 48 hours.

The other two matches have two PFS regions playing two non-PFS regions with matches that include Mexico vs Cameroon AND Chile vs Australia. So, it will be Mexico vs Australia/New Zealand!

Whichever team (Mexico or Australia/New Zealand) wins with the largest goal differential, that PFS player base will be awarded with a free reroll for 48 hours!

Good luck to all four regions!

Hah! sounds cool!

I wish we had a World Cup in Pathfinder. That would be awesome.

Additionally, regions like Turkey, South Africa, UAE, and Singapore that didn't have a team qualify, I will be giving you an adopted team every so often so keep your eyes open. As I'm biased towards the U.S., I'm drafting all of Canada to join us since we are your closest neighbors :-)

For the poor folks in Ireland, Scotland, and Wales, you are going to have to hinge your hopes on England. Good luck with that ;-)

Ha! First time that'll ever have happened!

I've hung PFS New Zealand's hope to the Socceroos performance tomorrow. Good luck!

Will this go on next year for the woman's World Cup also?

I have a seven year old daughter. What do you think? ;-)

Hay! my wife has Brazilian citizenship, does that count? Not that she's playing in the next 48 hours, but it would be cute to tell her she gets a re-roll...

This is a plot to get us to pay attention to soccer isn't it?

Dark Archive 3/5 Venture-Captain, Alabama—Mobile aka BOCFiend

I guess those of us in the good ole Us of A ain't gonna qualify since our team is not going to even win a game in the first round.

5/5 Venture-Captain, Australia—ACT—Canberra aka powell01

Well, I might have to use that in a game tomorow, Assuming the game is finished by the time we are playing.

I don't know about the rest of these folks, but I have both the home and away jerseys. Even though the away is ugly as hell and looks like an astro pop that you buy from the ice cream truck. I'm expecting us to go undefeated in the first round, with a possible tie, but likely three wins.

I was there at the rosebowl in 1999 when the US women won it.

Although I was dragged there and hardly watched the game.

I hope the Aussie/NZ team wins... my players will need it for a game I am running tomorrow... but against Mexico, the odds are not in their favor.

I don't know, there is a reason they are calling it the death bracket. We are going up against some countries which historically have had solid teams. Germany has been in the top 3 for the last ten years, and they have a bunch of returning players. Both Ghana and Portugal have strong teams too. Portugal made it to the final 4 in 2006.

Darn North American bias! Here I was expecting to be able to hold out for the best offer as an undrafted free agent.

And as your northern neighbour (note proper English spelling) is a member of the Commonwealth we should also be able to pin our hopes to England.

But no, you insist on us remaining your hat.

Nice way to fit the World Cup into PFS, and I guess I'll have to cheer for the U.S. Sigh.

BTW, is there room for a Johnny Soccer? Since the Padres drafted him he must be able to play any sport. Just let him please have success in football. ;)

Canada is our hat. Mexico is our beard. Alaska is that cow lick we cannot get to cooperator. Russia is that kid who forgot to brush his teeth and sits there over our shoulder breathing loudly.

I had thought about letting Canada hinge their hopes on England but you can thank Thurston Hillman and Scott Young for helping to convince me otherwise ;-)

Come on, Mike - my family have been UE Loyalists since 1776! Well, one side, anyway... another branch were Patriots from Providence... so I guess I can go either way...

I foresee a lot of rerolls at PaizoCon...

Hey, Mike, I heard there are these things called Netflix and Hulu where you can binge-watch entire television series beginning to end. Come on, man! Come check'em out with us! ... And hey, would you stop at the store on your way over and get some cheesy poofs and a gallon or two of soda? Pizza wouldn't hurt, either.

Fair enough. If the US wins, everyone in the US but you gets rerolls ;-) and why would anyone mess with Netflix anymore? Too much trouble mailing back and forth when I can just order whatever movie I want immediately on DirectTV Cinema.

It seems like instead of a reroll there should be some kind of attack bonus for falling prone.

Boon chronicle sheet for world cup;

Tackle: As a full round action when charging at an opponent, you may take an additional +2 circumstance bonus to perform a steal or trip combat maneuver, but fall prone afterwords.

Rally: loudly and aggressively state the merits of your team, gain the effect ofdelusional pride as a swift action.

Maybe some kind of boon to replace "water" with "grass" (and get rid of the depth requirement)?

Edit: Nope, need to completely rewrite the sentence:

.

Yep.

Faithless: Due to the lack of faith in his own country, the player assigned this boon immediately loses all fame and prestige, and no longer receives any positive benefits from any PFS boon, regardless of how the Chronicle sheet was obtained. This curse includes normal Chronicles earned through playing or GMing PFS scenarios. Any negative affects on Chronicle sheets still apply. If the player ever finds his faith, he can petition the Decimverate to remove curse and possibly receive the effects of boons sometime in the future.

Edit: This applies to any and all characters the player has made or will make.
