How often do you roll for random encounters on the ethereal plane and what is the percentage chance of an encounter occurring?
I am considering giving my cohort a suit of armor with the etherealness property. The cohort will go ethereal in the morning and follow his leader until the evening. I am trying to decide how dangerous this is for my cohort.
How often do you roll for random encounters on the ethereal plane and what is the percentage chance of an encounter occurring?
I am considering giving my cohort a suit of armor with the etherealness property. The cohort will go ethereal in the morning and follow his leader until the evening. I am trying to decide how dangerous this is for my cohort.
The prd gives us this when exploring which is to be rolled once a day.
50% chance of no encounter
10% chance of hazard
40% chance of monster(s)

It's up to the gm if they want to adjust the numbers based off other events that are occuring in the area.
I usually roll on the table twice, once for the day while exploring, and once during camp, but I reduce the chance of monster to 10% at night and add in a 30% chance of an insignificant event such as strange noises, wild non-hostile animal, strange dreams, etc etc.
