You are going to be spending your hard earned money playing in a game to have fun. Some enjoy being told what to do. Well this isn't a message for them.

This is for those of you who don't want your fun to be shackled and abused by other players telling you what you have to do and what you can't do. By their very nature, Lawful Settlements will have to impose and enforce more laws, more rules, more chains. They will dictate what race you can be, what role you can play, what craft you can make. They will demand that you gather a number of resources, steal your money with high taxes and require you to log in every day to get your next set of orders.

Breathe.

Chaos is Freedom.

Step out of the shadow of tyrants and into the streets of Freevale. We offer freedom of choice, the right to have fun playing your game the way you want to play. That's what you came here for, right? We don't expect you to schedule your life around us, and we aren't going to take all your hard earned coin just so that some glorified puppetmaster of a mayor can get a new sword.

Just breathe.

Freedom is Freevale.

Our Settlement is built in mind with the Citizen first. We want everyone to Speak Up and Be Heard. Freevale's Settlement design is crowdforged in all aspects, from the location we want to the structures we're going to build. We are a Settlement of multiple Companies and Free Agents, not just a guild with a town.

When you first heard of Pathfinder Online, a dream was born. Come live out that dream in Freevale.

You are so full of baloney.

Or perhaps more thoughtfully said: some of us are willing to put the good of those around us ahead of our own good :)

As Ambassador to the Emerald Spire Lodge, I welcome Freevale to the River Kingdoms.

<presents box of Ferrero Rocher>

You are all invited to visit the Spire, which we intend to maintain open to all visitors. Whenever your citizens wish to explore, search for treasure, or scratch their itch for combat with the monstrous population, it can all be found there.
The only thing we ask is that we be given first refusal to trade for historical relics found there, and that there is no violence carried out within our walls or to our members.

What happens inside the Spire, stays within the Spire!

I Don't think they can actually do that mechanically.

Carry on with the rest of your rant of whimsy though.

Dear Friend,

Good Ravenflute, while I appreciate the endeavors you attempt to stop the oppression of the masses in other territories, this sort of propaganda should best remain where it belongs.

I would like to express to the general public that laws while always sorround you, despite whatever chains you choose for yourself. You take up the banner of "chaos" and yet remain in a confined space giving yourselves over to the pleasures of masses.

You spout the words "Out from the shadows of tyrants" with the hopes of inspiring others to your cause. To your nation. To your power. You lure them in with the ideals that you are strong together, and that to join with you is to join with oneself. I tell you now, friend, that you are giving yourself not from tyranny to freedom but rather trading tyranny for it's other guise, mob-mentality, under the sickened label of "democracy".

None would fault you for your attempt, and truly you and your friends at Freevale are stout of heart and intentions, but this drivel is what we must protect against, for none have the right to deviate upon others shamelessly, especially to one's own gain in such fashion. Even if the original is admittedly entirely misguided as well...

I beg pardon for speaking so to you thus, my friend, in such a public forum, but with the times changing lies and shadows will only brood resentment, and it is best to lie in the honest and truth of the open air.

Whatever my opinions, I wish you well sir and hope Freevale remains strong, whole, and in good mind and care.

Always Watchful,

Brother Letholdus Zael

Awful means 'inspires awe.'

Get ready for that Lawful beatdown come beta launch. Shock and awe's the plan.

Haha!

The SBC is all about fighting the expansion of other groups encroaching on the freedom of the River Kingdoms. We will most certainly be an aggressive Company. While we may do a little of the banditry that the UNC is promoting so heavily, I envision that we will not be so focused and will also take to patrolling the lands and hunting down pioneers in our "territory", raiding POI's and perhaps even spearheading assaults against settlements.

Lawful is Awful. ;)

Not everyone is into raiding and that's fine. Unlike Lawful groups, Freevale gives you the freedom to do what you like. Good, Evil or Ugly, it's unrestricted.

Ah. Just having a little fun. No harm meant and smack talk is fair game since you started it. ;)

Actually, there isn't anything that most Lawful settlements will ask of their citizens that you won't also.

Goblin Squad Member

I know Bringslite. ;)

Goblin Squad Member

Why would you give people freedom to do something evil? That just sounds counterproductive.

Goblin Squad Member

One man's chains are another's foundation to building a better community and becoming a better, nobler person. Within Chaos, you see freedom. I see selfishness, lack of self-control, and lack of will. Mark my words, as Freevale descends into the chaos of everyone indulging their whims at the expense of others, and can't cooperate long enough to get even basic necessities built, you'll find your "freedom" has its own chains.

Goblin Squad Member

Also you'll just be worse at stuff. Organization and planning is what separates the effective from the failures.

Oh, sure. Everybody ELSE can be chaotic and neutral, but programmers have to be lawful. I see how it is. Next, you'll say I have to be GOOD too! I might as well go create my paladin right now...

Actually, that's a good idea... *Creates Paladin*

Oh, nvm, this is pretty fun. *Runs off, fighting for justice*

"In future days, when the sun is shining and chaos is again chained. The children will be playing, without fear, in the green fields. The grandfathers will be telling tales at night before the hearths. Tales of the heroes of these days.... Heroes like you Paul. The heroes that brought the Code to heel..."

Yeah! Who needs inventory when it's Loincloth Wednesday! Fight free, run free! FREEDOM!

*Watches the CG groups and LG groups squabble amongst themselves* He shares an apple with a few children and has them watch so he can make a lesson out of the squabbling between the two groups*

"You see children, too many rules and too few rules results in situations like this. One must be like the wind and water, able to move and shift as well as fit with any situation, it is why a balance of Neutral good is the true way. Do enough to follow the rules that benefit us all and bypass the rules that step on the rights of others when need be.

True balance knows no squabbles because it simply adjusts and rolls with the punches.

Besides, the pursuit of good should be above all else. One's desires or -rules- do not come before serving what is good.

One truly cannot serve good if selfish desires or the need to dictate everything that others do is the true agenda.

To serve good first is truly the most selfless of acts, anything else after that is nothing but selfishness whether its personal or for one's so called good"

Was that an order for a thousand potions of pox? Give me a minute or two and I'll give you a price.
