Did you just have an unexpected date with Pharasma? Did someone just slay the wrong person? Whether it's simple justice you want, or you are seeking spiteful vengeance, Deathwatch has you covered. Our premium Bounty Hunter services are available to anyone who's just been murdered and has the coin to "make things right" with their killer - our agents are standing by to accept your contracts. So the next time you find yourself suddenly back at your soulbinding point, remember to call upon us to get the job done.
For details about how Bounty Hunting will work in Pathfinder Online, check out the "Many Shades of Grief" section of the Goblinworks Blog: To Live and Die in the River Kingdoms.
At its core, the Deathwatch company consists of a fun group of gamers establishing a foothold in the River Kingdoms. Our founding members include a close group of friends - most of whom grew up in the same small town, regularly playing D&D and Pathfinder tabletop together. Among these lies experience with some of the most popular MMOs - including games like Ultima Online, Everquest 1&2, World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy 11&14, Eve Online, Star Wars: Galaxies & The Old Republic, and many, many more. We maintain a strong set of core values, including respect, honesty, integrity, humour, curiosity, and other [less relevant] ones too. Family comes first.
And we're seeking to expand - bringing in more members to make our bounty-hunting company a success. Whether you'd like to get involved with PvP at your own pace, or you just want to help bring people closure, we would like you to join us in this adventure. We already have a good mix of players: casual gamers, raid-ready adventurers, PvP enthusiasts, gatherers/craftsmen, and a few in between. Most of our founding members are in Early Enrollment, and Kitsune Aou is in the Alpha.

I've added your Company to the Guild Recruitment & Helpful Links list, replacing your old thread. If you have a brief description you'd like to appear there to let people know about your guild while they're browsing that list, just PM me or post a clear request here.
Good luck! :)

In a mutual agreement reached by Deathwatch, Taur-im-Duinath, and The Seventh Veil, we are pleased to announce that Deathwatch will be joining the newly-reformed Taur-im-Duinath settlement (new name TBD later) in the Land Rush Phase II. We believe that by pooling our resources with like-minded groups of individuals we can create a positive community of players with a common and compatible theme. Deathwatch will be adapting somewhat to comply with the Elven requirements set forth by TiD, and likewise TiD has adjusted the settlement description to be a little more compatible with groups such as Deathwatch. Overall, we're very excited to work with our new "roommates" and look forward to building a new settlement together throughout Early Enrollment and beyond.

Looking into companies and settlements, your's is interesting but I have a question.
How can you invoke Wheaton's Law while also being bounty hunters?
Are you only hunting players that break Wheaton's Law?

I'm glad you brought this up, because I didn't really elaborate on that, and it does almost sound contradictory.
I think Wheaton's Law is entirely up to interpretation, and each person is going to have their own opinion as to what it means to them (whole separate argument). That being said...
It's mostly an internal thing. Example: being trusted with access to the company bank - don't abuse it by stealing from it. That would violate Wheaton's Law. Other external examples include griefing people or otherwise intentionally eliciting anger from them by various means. That would also violate his Law.
PvP is an integral part of the game, and we have no plans to avoid it. If someone already has a bounty on their head (Goblinworks is planning a very nice system for this), it means that they have already murdered someone "for no good reason" (e.g. not in a war/feud/etc.). If that murdered person wants revenge (and is willing to pay), that's where we step in.
I believe that killing another player, in this context (or in wars/feuds or other "acceptable" PvP scenarios), is not necessarily being a "jerk". However, there's plenty of cases where it could be taken too far, (e.g. griefing/camping/whatever after you killed your bounty) - those are the situations where you would be acting against the rules of our company.
