What interesting combos or strategies have you discovered?

Rules Questions and Gameplay Discussion

My sessions are always 2p with just two characters and we have found some interesting strategies to overcome our weaknesses. I was wondering what group stratgies other players have found.

In our 2p Ezren and Kyra group, we have found the Merchant to be very useful to send blessings to Ezren to support Kyra's lackluster fighting ability. Since taking the feat that allows Kyra to place Blessing of Serenrae on the top of the deck instead of discarding it, Kyra rarely runs low on blessings, freeing up 2-3 to send over to Ezren. This has the additional benefit of allowing Kyra to cycle her hand.

I don't know that any of these are really a big secret but...

Put Valeros and Lem at the same location and let them help each other out.

Play Amiri with Merisiel and have Amiri's turn immediately before Merisiel's so she can move people away from Merisiel before Merisiel's turn. Levitate or Haste works well for this too. My wife and I do this in our Amiri, Merisiel, Sajan and Ezren group. Ezren has a Haste or two and with Amiri's power we aren't afraid to be at Merisiel's location becasue we know we can get out of there before her turn. That way Drunken Master Sajan can drop a Potion of Healing on her or Ezren can use his Shaman for everyone. In fact, Shaman should be part of this combo. (Man, I can't wait for deck 6 to start shipping.)

I also get jazzed over certain locations for certain characters:
Merisiel at the Prison (especially with Crown of Charisma)
Ezren at the Academy (I often refuse to close it if I encounter the henchman "too early". "Don't worry," I say. "I'll have this closed in the next turn." Though admittedly that doesn't always work out.)
Seelah at the Garrison (The "cost" of her power is so minimal since if she examines a weapon or armor, it will still be there when the location gets closed.)
Amiri at the Mountain Peak (She moves to avoid the "Start of your turn" effect and once it is closed can keep jumping back there to look at other locations.)
