Geas / Quest, am I understanding this wrong, or is it completely broken?

Well, what is your situation? What kind of party members do you have and what are your current capabilities? What sort of things are weak areas or areas where you lack abilities? What sort of things do you do in-game? What kinds of plans do you have and what sort of role in them do you wish for your new servitor to fill?

I will say that if you're offering anything close to a fair deal, the couatl is likely to be the safest of those.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. One year later now and I'm able to cast greater planar binding. My DM is making demon lords to randomly break my geas on their servants so I'm having trouble keeping greater fiends in their place.

I'm thinking of making a suggestion to my DM of an arc where I kill the demon lord. or attempt to at least. It's Zura. Any ideas on how to go about this?

as you are at 'mythic tier' it is going to be rather GM dependent.
Just make sure you have a safe house with a Hallow that you renew yearly. Any servants should be Constructs.
