I'm not certain exactly what went wrong, but somehow we made it into the running in the top 33. While that is somewhat embarrassing, (since I made extensive promises to my companions that it would never happen, and once we hit the leaderboard around 40th place we'd sell our votes to a large community and split the proceeds) I don't think it needs to be seen as a complete disaster. All the rest of you have to do is makes sure to attract enough members to push us out of the top 33 spots and everything can return to it's natural state. We will sell our votes to someone who can use them to gain a better place, and be home with our two-fours before the sun sets on the first count tomorrow night.
How hard can it be for the larger guilds to push us back into obscurity?

Newcomers to Elkhaven are likely to be confused by the tavern Tim Horton's. Not so the locals, who are used to this iconic brewer of potions and vendor of pastries. Few are the Elkhavenites who do not know instantly what is required when a weary traveler sticks their head in the door and asks for a Double-Double. This fragrant, sweet, brew is a standby of both adventurers and eager parents as they watch their youngsters train in the locals preferred martial style, "hockey"

We are near the end stage of a negotiation that may make Elkhaven a bit less intensely Canadian, but I assure our fans that there will always be a Canadian Quarter in whichever settlement ends up being home to Erastil's Irregulars.

It's Twoony Tuesday in Elkhaven. Tonight's special is two-for-one Poutine with a mug of amber Beaver-Piss[tm] mead and a six pack of Timbits[tm]. The brewers of over Beaver Piss start with a clover honey and a hint of maple, then carefully curate their fermentation to 17.2% alcohol before finishing with their signature fir-needle-extract. Also on the board tonight is bison stew with a side of roast cat-tail tubers.

After 36 winters in Norway vs one in Canada (93-94), I can confirm Canada is by far colder. You even have twice the moose/man ratio and more oil than us. And ice wine! (though that's cheating - anywhere warm enough to grow grapes isn't proper barbarian country).
If I trade with Elkhaven, will you pay in loons or just beaver pelts?

to immediately process your application to be part of Elkhaven. We fully expect to be the largest guild on the board by week ten.
Today's special in Elkhaven is Montreal-style smoked boar. Using more pepper and spice, and considerably less sugar than many smoked meats, our boar has a rich, complex, taste that has been delighting adventurers for decades.
Our brine-cured smoked boar is served as an open-face rye bread sandwich with plenty of our signature Golgothan mustard, smuggled from the interior.
Also on the board tonight is beaver-tail soup with a dark sourdough bread.
Right after all groups with more members than us.

It's a well known, though little discussed, fact that Canadian men have swords that are, on average, 1 cm longer than American men. Now why this is the case is unknown, but don't you want to be able to walk up to that comely bar wench and say "Hey, babe, I'm from Elkhaven, where the Canadians hang out. Wan'na check out my sword?"

Today's special in Elkhaven is our Roast suckling pig. These fresh, wild suckling pigs were brought down from the headwaters of the Elk River near the Emerald Spire. Slow roasted over a hickory fire and basted with a fresh Saskatoon Berry and citrus glaze, these delectable piglets seem to melt in your mouth. Each suckling pig is accompanied by Golgothan mustard and all-you-can-eat turnips-and-carrot-mash, with a large mug of our famous Beaver-piss ale.
Also on the board tonight is Caribou steak in a dark spicy gravy and our feature drink of the evening is A rich, amber, Duinath mead from the Elvin lands.
Gaming fans will want to plan to stay late for the tournament in the backroom after supper hour. A three gold piece buy in gets you a seat at the game tables for an evening of fun.
