Diehard & Endurance

Advice

Is Unbreakable Fighter the only class that grants these feats?

Half Orc have a racial trait that allows them to nab endurance, and ranger get it at 3rd. I'm sure there's another I'm forgetting.

Together? yes, to my knowledge, and at level one at that. Ranger gives endurance, but not diehard, can't think of anything that grants diehard alone though.

EDIT: I believe a customary "ninja" is in order as far as the ranger suggestion.

I'm in the same boat MrSin; I feel like I'm forgetting an alternative way to get Diehard for free.

Play an Orc?

I know I can get Endurance for free as a Half-Orc, but that's not enough to play them over a human. I thought that there was another class or Prestige Class that has Diehard as a bonus feat somewhere.

Oracle of Battle gets it at level 7 with Resiliency mystery.

Battle Heralds can use a power that functions as diehard at level 9

Wereboar skinwalkers can take a trait to ignore the Endurance requirement for Diehard, almost as good as a feat.

I didn't know about the Wereboar, good to know. Unfortunately, that won't get rid of the Endurance prerequisite for any feats beyond Diehard.

Liberty's Edge

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
Are u saying it's better to play a Human to get diehard instead of Half-Orc?
You are wrong!
This is what the races offer:
Human: 2 feats + "skilled" =
Endurance+Diehard+(+1skill rank/level)
Half-Orc: 1feat+endurance+Orc ferocity+darkvision+weapon familiarity =
Endurance+Diehard+Skilled/Toothy/Secred Tatoo +Darkvision +weapon familiarity

Half-Orc gets everything human gets AND Darkvision AND weapon prof., and if you don't like "skilled"-replace it with sacred tattoo (+luck on all saves) or Toothy (primary bite attack).
Btw. Weapon faviliarity can be replaced by 2 other sets of weapon familiarities.

However - if you're stuck with the core rules - then none but the Human gets 2feats

Edit: You also start with 2 languages instead of 1.

Half-Orc didn't fit conceptually; I was trying to build toward a Paladin of Shelyn who's extra hard to kill. For Half-Orc Paladins, I prefer to go for an intimidate-focused Redeemer build instead.

Actually wound up with a gnome.

Fey Foundling + Fast Healer (req. Diehard & Endurance) + Ring of Regeneration and Swift Action Lay on Hands. Should be able to heal faster than anything can hurt him, while only losing his Swift actions.

Fey Foundling would fit well with Shelyn.

Shelyn would work for Sandpoint Faithful trait, to add another hit point per healing effect. Blessed Touch will add yet another point.

Diehard + a Ring of Ferocious Action is actually pretty awesome.

Unbreakable Fighter 1 / Paladin of Shelyn 4 / Sentinel 6 / Paladin +9. Second Sentinel Boon @ 6 changes Smite from +cha to hit & + Pally level to damage to +2xcha to hit & + Pally level + cha to damage. Also delays Lay on Hands progression, but the other bonuses are nice too.

Gnome
Sandpoint Faithful, Blessed Touch
Unbreakable Fighter 1 / Paladin of Shelyn 4 / Sentinel 6 / Paladin + 9
Class Skills Climb, Craft, Diplomacy, Handle Animal, Intimidate, Knowledge (dungeoneering), Knowledge (engineering), Knowledge (nobility), Knowledge (religion), Perception, Profession, Ride, Sense Motive, Spellcraft, Survival, and Swim.
1: Diehard, Endurance, Fey Foundling
2: Aura of Good, Detect Evil, Smite Evil 1/day
3: Weapon Focus (glaive), Divine Grace, Lay on Hands
4: Aura of Courage, Divine Health, Mercy (fatigued)
5: Deific Obedience, Channel Positive Energy, Smite Evil 2/day
Sentinel Prerequisites Deific Obedience, Weapon Focus (glaive)
6: Symbolic Weapon +1
7: Greater Mercy, Power Attack
8: Boon 1, Symbolic Weapon +2
9: Fast Healer, Divine Quickness +2
10: Aligned Strike, Stalwart
11: FEAT, Boon 2, Symbolic Weapon +3
12: Divine Bond
13: FEAT, Mercy (dazed)
14: Smite Evil 3/day
15: FEAT, Aura of Resolve
16: Mercy (cursed)
17: FEAT, Smite Evil 4/day
18: Aura of Justice
19: FEAT, Mercy (paralyzed)
20: Smite Evil 5/day

At sixth level (which is where I'm building at right now as that's the level my weekly game is at), he's got a 5/day 2d6+3 lay on hands, that does 2d6+8 if he uses it on himself. He's weak on offence when he's not smiting (+11/+6 for 1d8+3 w/ +1 silversheen glaive), but with 61 hp, a 22 base AC, and a minimum of 50 hp from lay on hands, he can at least do the job of keeping anything level-appropriate busy.
