I set it up that way to avoid spammers. But it is checked a number of times a day so anyone who applies and lets us know who they are, get approval to join fairly rapidly. :-)

For those smaller guilds with less than 6 people in them, if you are interested in crafting, trading, exploring and PvE, we are a NG "guild" looking for other members.
While we are not big on PvP, we will help out those we are friendly with or have alliances with against those who will try to bring harm to them.
With a current 71 guilds listed in the land rush, only the biggest 33 will get a settlement [counting the original 3 since they are still listed in the land rush]. We are currently 12th and welcome other like-minded folks to join us.
Some of our members have years of experience playing various online games, some are total newbies, this being the first game that they will ever have played. So all sorts of experience levels are welcomed.

Most of us had no idea that there was a band of that name. One member sent a link to one of their songs with clips from the Army of Darkness called Way of the Warrior, so we apparently have a theme song and most of us didn't even know it.

WooHoo! We are now 10th! All you smaller guilds/companies of like mind, come join us! If you are not in the top 33 places, you won't be getting a settlement.

Now planning recipes for our tavern!

You know, we used to be called Hammersfall but we kept losing all our hammers. Now the last hammer has a chain attached to the handle and the chain leads out onto a post in the middle of town, so we can always find it and fight over who gets to use it next.

I'm thinking the gators got them. Anyone have a really powerful magnet we can use to see if we can pull up gators with?Why magnets? Just toss some meat into the water and have some good archers.
I figure if it works, we will have a new tourist attraction [Oooh pun!]! Magnetic Gator Fishing!

Because, y'know, half of us are Dwarves...
Or our friends in the mountains? All that metal ore lying around that they could make magnets for us.

For all you leathercrafters, it looks like hammerfall will be the premier source of leather in early enrollment too!
Assuming we keep our hex, leather and wood seem to be our main crafting areas. Any of the big guys above us could push us out but why would they if they like where they are? A few groups below us, if they get 5-6 new members, could push us out as well.
So if any of you undecided out there, I encourage you to go to our new description and see if you would like to join us.
With all that wood and hunting, we will probably become the premier source for smoked meats! :-)
