I'm excited to announce Interjection Games' first product of the month and first non-class product of the year, One Bling to Rule Them All - Scaling Magic Items. Scalars are magic items that attune themselves to specific masters and offer up a number of abilities cherrypicked for that particular individual's mindset and combat style. The abilities can then be further customized by the player through the assignment of ranks, of which he gets one per level, much like the ubiquitous talent point systems you see in other games media. Given this scaling behavior, a scalar tends to feel more like new and exciting class features than a classic magic item and fits best in gestalt, mythic, and other high-powered games, though rules for actually giving up wealth to include scalars in a standard game are presented.
