Informal Poll: Naming A Thing

A rough draft of actual words is in the works for my pre-EE project.

It's going to be a short, simple, clear statement that as players when we log in we're basically sitting around a honking gigantic table to play Pathfinder Online together to have fun. Like sitting with our friends around a physical table our characters will clash like storms and lightning in pursuit of fun and great stories but we the gamers will never forget to be awesome to each other.

In spirit of the setting and River Freedoms, it's going to function as a meta oath among us as players, and you know how the RK feel about oaths.

What do you think is the coolest name for such a thing?

THE GREEN HAT PLEDGE - based on ancient forum discussions about the difference between meaningful interaction and arbitrary aggravation.

THE RIVER KINGDOMS PLEDGE - simple and all-inclusive

THE FIRST LIGHT PLEDGE - when a telescope first opens to receive starlight, when a forge or kiln is fired for the first time, these are examples of First Light. This accord is trying to shine a light upon our humanity as gamers. "Knowledge can explain the darkness, but it is not a light."

Write-in suggestions are accepted*, please include a short explanation of its coolness.

*- This poll is not a cheerocracy, it's a cheertatorship, so numeric counts in this thread are not the final deciding factor for the agreement's name.

I like the GHP, but it could cause confusion with people who just like green hats.

I also like The Green Hat Pledge, and hope it causes folks enough curiosity to ask about the meaning, and to look into the Pledge itself.

I like the River Kingdoms Pledge. The light is attractive but we also want those dedicated to darkness. The Green Hat... Hobs is already a ruthless tyrant in whom too much power has been inves... <ZAP!>

I really do need to remind you all, I created the a Green Hat scenario and some of you are not seeing it correctly. As a matter of fact, you're seeing it in a completely opposite way.

The Green Hat represents the argument that when role playing a chaotic character, particularly a chaotic evil one, their meaningful interaction can be based solely on either wearing a green hat or their victim was wearing a green hat. This would refute the concept of "randomness" because the green hat as a trigger mechanism is not random.

To further the chaotic thought process and meaning, Green Hat Tuesday was created, on a Monday and Hobs was its first mentioned victim.

In conclusion, The Green Hat Pledge would be the least appropriate name for this "thing".

And that argument was part of a larger community discussion on what constitutes consensus meaningful interaction vs. what a few tried to label "meaningful" but the community thought is pretty d&!#ish and doesn't belong. Green hats became the community's icon for the whole issue, which is exactly what the player meta agreement is addressing.

Your vehement objection to using that name is noted.

Bludd, the green hat concept was so convincing, it has morphed into its opposite, not doing green hat poaching; now thea symbol of what not to do (as, when culturally, bad became good). I really like the idea of GHP name, when it really means a pledge not to green hat. But it may be too local to the < 10% of kickstart that have been posting in the forums.

IF we leave GHP out as too parochial, there are two choices presented (but others may suggest yet another). And being as I have been part of a first light ceremony, I rather do like that concept. From the beginning, what do we want to be our standard.

Being one step too far from UNC and my god one step too far from the paladins, I look to my PvP play in latter EE pirouette between patrols of each. But I trust both to follow the first (light) principles.
