What was the joke I heard once..."If Taylor Swift breaks up and doesn't write a song about it, did the relationship ever happen?"

Sovereign Court

AAAAND Wally becomes Kid flash!

And another one

That costume seems ugly as hell. oO

Hairless cowls need to be on someone with longer hair in order to look good.

Sovereign Court

Why?

Aesthetics? The hair should at least go out past the fabric of the costume. What I see is slightly better than a hairless cowl on someone who is actually hairless, but only slightly. It could be that the hairless cowl is something that doesn't translate well off the 4 color page entirely, though.

Just what this show needs, another speedster. :P

Better a protege than another 'evil speedster mentor'. I see another one of those I'm done with this show.

Sovereign Court

Darn. I was actually asking Lemmy.

Pretty much for the reasons Grey Lensman mentioned.

Sovereign Court

At least they are staying true to the kid flash outfit

Indeed... But some things just don't translate well to live action.

Sovereign Court

Let's see it in action first.

The outfit could be worse, but I'm going to have to echo those who feel it's...disappointing, at best...and that the topless cowl is part of the aesthetic problem. It's unnecessary for someone with close cropped hair, and that makes it stick out like a sore thumb. What about Wally's hair or scalp said to Cisco "it must be free?"

About that.....Spartacus alum to star as a mysterious new speedster in Season 3 of The Flash

Granted, no word on whether he's actually "evil" or a "mentor".

Make way for the Negative Flash from the Antimatter Universe^^.

I've always been a fan of the original yellow Kid Flash costume. It's one of my favorite super-suits of all time actually. I'm REALLY pleased they decided to go with it in the show and think it looks pretty good here. (The actor inside it... I'm still not sold on, but the suit looks good.)

That said... I find it REALLY weird that after the whole Thawne 'Man in Yellow' storyline, they would dress up Wally in yellow. I mean... originally Wally had that suit BEFORE they met Reverse-Flash so it wasn't an issue... but in DCTV it feels a bit weird.

With Barry screwing with the timeline in the finale, maybe they haven't met Reverse Flash? Everything Thawne did in Earth-1 in the original timeline followed on his killing Barry's mom.

It all kind of hangs on how seriously they're taking the repercussions to the timeline. Given how bad Barry screwed up the last time he went back in time and the only difference was that Thawne/Wells' proto-Cisco was redeemed, I'm not sold on Barry's actions having the kinds of consequences they really should.

In Flashpoint Paradox it is specifically mentioned that the ripples from Barry's decision to save his mom went in both directions. Hence the Thomas Wayne Batman, as that event happened prior to the death of Nora Allen. So the possibility is there to mess with all sorts of things. That said, I hope they don't go too crazy. I'd like the storyline to be somewhat coherent.

I'm just hoping to see Citizen Freeze.

I honestly don't have much hope for a true Flashpoint Paradox. If they REALLY did that... Wally wouldn't have speed in the first place, Arrow and Legends would be completely screwed up too. Actually legeends could dodge it by being in the timestream at the time... But still, the downside of a combined universe, is that you can't REALLY reboot just one of them.

My theory is that they'll have some fun with week one or two, then somehow get things back to at least RELATIVE normality.

Secret leaked storyboards for season 3 premiere: "Kentucky Fried Flashpoint" (No, not really. I just wanted to share the serious WTF.)

got us a trailer for the new season today, and the degree to which Barry has messed up is truely impressive as always.

What I can't fathom is how this affects the broader Arrowverse.

I mean I get that it's more specific to Barry in some ways, but still.

I don't think it's going to. The impression I am getting from the new trailer is that Barry is going to have to undo it and set things to normal.

On the other hand Legion of Doom sounds like it will be affecting Arrow.

Grey,

But wouldn't the appearance of said Legion be a direct result not just the missing Time Masters but the fact the Flash altered the timeline pretty drastically?

Just saying...

I got the impression from the trailer that dropped that Barry shunts himself to an alternate timeline and that it won't affect Arrow.

Tsc... Bringing in time travel is the worst decision this show ever made. -.-'

Correct me if I'm wrong, since I'm not a very big DC fan, but time travel is kind of an inherent part of the Flash mythos, is it not?

It's so integral to the Flash mythos that the only reason the Flash exists is because he grandpa'd his way into getting his powers to begin with.

Time Travel is a tricky part but inherent to Flash at times. Not always, but some times. I mean Iris West was from the Future.

Wally and his wife lived in the future.

Bart Allen is FROM a Future.

So while time travel is a timey whimey thing in many places (even here in the Flash) it's been done and we have to live with it.

Kind of like Barry.

Forget Flashpoint, Grodd is bringing Gorilla City to The Flash this season

WOOT!!!

I wonder if they'll also introduce Solovar....

I hope so Aber.

Right now I'm still wondering where Savitar fits into all this. That, Doctor Alchemy, Mirror Master and now Grodd.

The Flash ain't Netflix Marvel. Just because all those villains are appearing in the third season, that doesn't mean there is any kind of link between them.

Osborne,

Maybe not but I think we can link them to Barry in some way. Maybe.

Also it's been announced that in the second half of the season there will be another Flash-Supergirl crossover (separate from the 4-show crossover in the fall), which will span 2 episodes (1 per show) and be musical episodes. It seems many of the cast on both shows have musical backgrounds.

Musical huh? I wonder of that means Hartley aka Pied Piper is involved...

what about Mxyzptlk

I think there's only one man that could make that musical episode happen naturally...

I thought you were going to say Joss Whedon after the Buffy the Vampire Slayer musical episode.

Actually...

{prepares tranquilizer gun for when Freehold finds out}

Yeah I heard that rumor too about Joss doing that. I'm not 100% convinced but I'm not 100% sure either. If that makes sense.

In any case I don't think it's Music Meister. To me that seems a little...out there even for DC. Now, Harley the Pied Piper, that makes more sense if you think about it.

As does Mxyzptlk, with him being a classic Superman adversary and all.

If Mxy shows up in the DC TVverse, please please please let Gilbert Gottfried be available for this casting.

Dark Archive Vendor - Fantasiapelit Tampere

I'm also on the side of Mr. Mxyzptlk for this. Makes more sense, since Hartley is not really that....whimsical and he is kinda on the same level with Meister. Imp from the 5th dimension I could imagine doing that AND that's one way to use very classic Superman villain that DCEU will not use.

(oh, and I think that the New 52 version would be the way to go, at least design-wise.)

Well if they do get Gilbert Gottfried, they might need to age him a little. Up maybe not sure. But definitely get him so he's got the hat and the cigar. :)

Has Gilbert been forgiven for the rant that got him fired from Aflac yet?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Most people wouldn't even know about it, and he's done work since then, so I dunno that "forgiveness" is necessary.

The intersection of people that know and give a s*%& is pretty slim I imagine.

From what I read, it was just a "too soon-ish" joke, not a rant. Besides, that's only medium spicy compared to some of his standup material.

Hey, maybe it could be Mxy vs. Bat-Mite (disguised as "Flash-Mite"?) using Supergirl and the Flash as their unwitting/unwilling game pieces? Could we get Wallace Shawn to voice Flash-Mite?

Mxy. also lets them get past the seperate universes problem as well, he can just Poof Barry over to Supergirl

Inconceivable!
