Its all good, ALF works well.

Grand Lodge

ALF is nice and pronounceable, plus it's disarmingly cute.

Goblin Squad Member

I think thats what Bludd was going for.

Goblin Squad Member

Yeah, but a vague reference to Aragon probably isn't a problem for GW. Directly listing the ALF, that might raise some eyebrows.

Don't get me wrong, I like the name and I hope you guys keep it. But I'd set up a backup name, just in case GW decides its too "real world" to use.

Goblin Squad Member

ALF huh... So you are going to be small furry aliens that love to eat cats?

Goblin Squad Member

I hope that Aragon and Freevale get to keep their current settlement locations.

We, revelers of chaos, should stick together.

I think we will be in a good place for that. The longer in our positions the more difficult to remove us.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

It amazes me sometimes, how much concern other companies have for what the UNC is doing.

Wether it is fear, respect, loathing or perhaps a combination of them all, I'm extremely proud of the work and hard fought battles that my membership have done in the last 18 months.

With our new found citizens of Aragon, and our partners in the Northern Coalition, I have no doubt we are in for some exciting times in the next few years. Even those that oppose us, will be a source of that excitement, adventure and general good times. So I too, preemptively, thank our future rivals.

"On Coin, Blade, and Pain of Blood" I salute you all, friend and foe alike!

Arboreal Liberation Front! We can keep the ALF abbreviation and it essentially has trees in the name. What more can them tree huggers really want?

If you were looking to locate at "X" in the land rush, and you are either CN, CE, CG, TN or you are willing to shift to one of those alignments, Aragon's doors are open to you

Join the settlement that is at the location you were looking for... Join Aragon!!

Aragon's founding company has now formed its three divisions, one of each part of the Chaotic Alliance (CN, CG, and CE). Now her gates are open, her recruitment hall is prepared to receive all who would be free or cherish the protecting the freedoms of others.

The UnNamed Company will free you of the coin you can not hold for themselves.

The Aragon Liberation Frontwill free the slaves of their bonds, and free the lands of those that would exploit them abusively.

The Exalted Bastards will free Aragon's enemies of their heads, without mercy and not until not until retribution has been met.

Grim Maw Clan will be Aragon's exclusive crafters, and they too are looking to fill their ranks.

Aragon is looking for individual citizens or whole companies looking to fill these roles, as well as the other support roles needed to build and maintain the center of Chaotic training in all of the River Kingdoms.

Aragon has also been joined by two independent companies, Grim Maw Clan and the Lion's Council. Companies may join Aragon and retain their identity and autonomy (other than common defense) or they may join The UnNamed Company, and fold into one of our divisions. Congratulations on reaching your 50th member.

Seems there's a lot of interest in hot, manly, barbarian action.

If you ever want to run off some of that testosterone, train your combat skills, in ways that will not harm your Reputation, but instead help to prove your relevance to all citizens of the River Kingdoms, then please visit the Spire, which we will keep open for your convenience. All we ask is that you refrain from violence against our citizens, and allow us first refusal to trade for archaeological relics you find.

Be aware that not every guild wants you to be able to participate in the dungeoneering goodness of the Spire, some would like to hoard its contents to themselves, and deny you your rightful glory.

Work with us to prevent this soul-crushing bureaucratic tyranny, and let all who would risk the Spire measure their worth against all rivals, in glorious, vein-throbbing, bicep-pumping, valorous combat, against the misbegotten creatures of the netherworld!

I'm not sure is there is a language issue, but I see six points of interest that I feel might need clarification:

1. There are plenty of ways to USE skills in PvP that will not cost reputation as well.

2. Individual, company or settlement relevance to the community is not incumbent on running the PVE dungeon.

3. Speaking for the UNC, we do not need you to keep it open to us, we will smash our wat through if we need or want to.

4. Speaking for the UNC, the only ways your citizens are safe from our predation is through a limited time frame contract or if your settlement joins the Northern Coalition. All others are fair game.

5. All loot our members extract from the Spire belongs to us, for so long as we can hold it. If you would like to try to take it, give it your best shot, we will enjoy the fight.

6. It sounds like you are the ones trying to horde the contents of the Spire, but maybe a language barrier is causing me to misread your intentions or you have not expressed yourself well enough.

The reverse of that being that if we don't "behave" we are not welcome? If so, where, the Spire, or the settlement beside it?

Snorter's message risks being misinterpreted in a very bad way. At the moment, the settlement at "V" holds a special place for many of us, as an open and neutral place where we may rest and supply and perhaps recruit or sell loot should we wish to while on a visit to he Spire.

The words:

Snorter wrote:
"which we will keep open for your convenience. All we ask is that you refrain from violence against our citizens, and allow us first refusal to trade for archaeological relics you find."

seem to imply that the Settlment at "V" feels they have some control or authority over The Spire Itself.

I assure you that many of us agree with Bluddwolf in his position that is not the case, and if the settlement as a whole feels that way, it may find itself in a difficult position.

Good luck with the recruitment folks and grats on the growth {:

Scarab Sages Goblin Squad Member

Thank you, Kemedo.

It's refreshing to see Aragon has a diplomat among their citizens.

How anyone behaves within the Spire is their own concern, we only ask that those using the nearby settlement respect the inhabitants, who will equip you and send you on your way with encouraging cheers.
That's hardly to much to ask, surely?

As to #5, no-one mentioned taking anything from anyone. Only that if you were to come across historical records, artwork, sculpture, things of that nature, that would be of little use to a fighting man, but of great interest to an archeological society such as ourselves, we may be willing to trade for them. So your journey hasn't been wasted.
That's all. You win, we win. Isn't that a much more pleasant way of interacting, than all this chest-beating?

As to #6, we are not the ones with designs on annexation of all surrounding lands and refusing passage. We are not empire-builders.
If it pains you to have your travel curtailed, then that must be something you take up with the responsible parties, if and when it occurs, but that will not be our doing, as long as we have friendly relations.

I have warned Thod of this very thing, privately.

First the initial tone of Thod's Friends came off to me as if Thod was suggesting that since his group is representative of he Pathfinder Society, that they have some inherent right to control "V".

I told him that no such consideration will be granted towards the Pathfinder Society by my group, but most certainly not by any OE group.

If the Emerald Spire turns out to be a loot faucet, and a settlement at "V" appears to be the major beneficiary of that, "V" will become the River Kingdom's version of Sicily.

Aragon and the UNC by extension, do not have any designs of conquest of other settlements for the purpose of expansion. Pillaging and looting the wreckage caused by others, on the other hand, is right up our alley.

We have three motivations in the UNC: Greed, Conflict and Revenge

Aragon as a settlement has the motivation to: Train those who use ambush, SADs, skirmish warfare, and assassination as skills. It also will train and provide the wares that support those activities, such as weapons, poisons and whatever else that is needed.

The citizens of Aragon on motivated to: Preserve the settlement and provide the entire River Kingdoms with access to the highest level chaotic skill training available.
