Hey at least they brought back Cameron! :P

Looks like we get

Spoiler:
Solomon Grundy
next season.

Also, Nygma's ringtone was a nice callback to the 60's Batman series.

Yeah, "Cyrus Gold" is a pretty strong indicator.

There's an online theory that we're actually watching Owlman's origin.

Owlman? Of the Crime Syndicate of Earth 3 in the comics?

Yeah. The argument is that since Gotham is so dark and even its "heroes" are terrible people, we're looking at Earth-3. (Well, that and the fact there's no logical path from Bruce as he currently exists, [or Jim Gordon or Barbara, for that matter] to his comicbook counterpart.)

Wow! great season finale! I really feel like this show 'gets it' unlike so many others!

The Flash is officially Earth one for TV.
Supergirl is not 2 because Zoom was 2.
When are we going to get an indication what Earth was Gotham set in?
It could be Earth 13 and happening concurrently.
They have cell phones. Holy paradoxes Batman!

Maybe Gotham is part of the Dark Multiverse (as per the current Matel/Dark Knight comic series), and that multiverse hasn't been discovered yet by the various TV series.

In the Arrowverse, Supergirl's is Earth 38

So, Jerome has the look, the manner, and now he evidently has

Spoiler:
Joker venom
as well...but showrunners definitively said some time back that he's not the Joker.

Justice League #50 indicated that there are (or have been) three Jokers; so is Jerome at least a Joker?

I have a strong feeling that whatever the showrunners said or planned in season 1 no longer applies in season 4. They've long given up an pretense to being any real kind of "Batman" show.

They're their own thing now and they've just kind of embraced what they are and what they aren't. I personally think it's for the better too. I hated the idea of a Joker showing up before Batman back in season 1... but MAN... that Jerome just NAILS it. He's by and far my favorite Joker ever... even if he can't fit into a legitimate comic Batman mentality.

So now we know. A Joker, not the Joker.

And a boy always remembers his first Batmobile.

(thread rises from Lazarus pit)

So, between setups from tonight's episode and the preview of next week's episode, we get Batgirl, Bane, and a certain catwalk conflict at Ace Chemicals.

Nice.
