Cleric

Advice

So I am in need of assistance to build my cleric. I want to play a Necromancer (Cleric not any other class) but I am totally lost and confused. I looked at the guide to the classes but did not see an evil cleric necromancer build. Can someone help me with this?

The following is info that I know:
Stats are 18, 18, 17, 16, 14, 12 can be put in any order.
Will be level 7.
Other party members include: barbarian, 2 rogues, evil paladin, & fire mage.
I am playing as a dhampir.
The campaign is all undead. So we will be fighting undead 95% of the time and it will end once we hit level 20.
I want to be able to control undead that we fight. I will need a way to determine that they are undead (perhaps a spell can do that?).
What spells should I take?
What magic items should I try to get?
What domains should I choose?
I was thinking of playing as lawful evil -advice on this is welcome.

Thanks,

+J

Full ranks in knowledge religion will let you ID undead. Though there is a detect undead spell as well(though it won't tell you what kind.)

You might want the Command Undead feat from the core rulebook.

If you are LE then you can probably only channel negative your party will appreciate a decent charisma score so you can take the selective channel feat and not kill them with your negative channels if you decide to use them against non-undead enemies. A better charisma score will also make it harder for undead to resist your attempts to command them.

Its hard to recommend domains without knowing what deities you will be using. If you are using Golorian as the setting Urgathoa has a Strong undead connection.

Spells
Prep cure spells of any level to harm undead.
Hide from undead works on all unintelligent undead until you or you party attacks. Of course you could summon while invisible and just watch the fun.
What spells to pick would have a great deal to do with how you want to play the character.

My advice on lawful evil. Always twist a deal to screw the other guy and advance yourself, because technically correct is the best kind of correct.

Also this should probably be moved to different sub forum since i think this one is supposed to be for discussing the Game space VTT in the works.

Ya I tried to delete it and make a new post in the advice forum.

Thanks for the tips. Wondering could I do the same without being evil? That way I could channel positive energy to heal the party and hurt the undead but still be able to control them (not sure if I need feets or spells or both to do this).
Actually we can use any domain as we are using roman gods.

Any advice on magic items I should get?
