Scarab Sages

1. I found out not long ago that crafter's fortune can be used to augment Day Job rolls.

2. My Alchemist has had this formula under his belt for several levels, though up until now had only been applying it to cooking up alchemical items.

3. Would it be okay to, with the help of a DM hovering over me to provide initials, retroactively increase my Day Job results made since I learned the formula to reflect the bonus from it? It wouldn't impact my purchases made in the interim.

I very much doubt it. Retrospective modification of chronicles is generally a no-no.

I concur with Paz.

Unfortunately, I would have to say that it would not be ok as well as those who posted earlier. It would be the same as someone who has more than one modifier to apply to a day job roll, had been applying the lower one, realized that there was a higher one for a while, and then wanting to go back and change those results retroactively.

Wish I had better news.

And just to round it out with a 5-star Venture-Captain, yeah no retroactive gaining of gold. I'm sorry you didn't know about it sooner, and as one who advocated it being able to work I feel your pain.

But, now you know... And knowing is half the battle!

Lazers.

25% red lasers and 25% blue lasers I have heard claimed. But I seem to remember a lot of parachutes.

Documentation! Gotta keep that stuff up to date 'cause if you don't, pretty soon you'll be "knowing" completely wrong stuff.

what does this have to do with deliciously prepared and humanely treated food?

Well, that, and stopping Cobra Commander from kicking puppies.

to be fair, that puppy was being a d**k.

Not sure why this wouldn't be kosher, seems like newbie punishment.

If closet can do it to a point where it doesn't affect anything questionably, I'd say go for it. There's nothing in the rules saying you can't, it's not coming from a grandfathered rule or anything like that.

It's a pretty typical character fix, even if it is one he could make do without.

Scarab Sages

Huh! We've got a strong-sounding dissenter, now.

I wouldn't say I'm a "newbie" anymore, but, you know, Manson's Law....

I don't know if there are any 'heavier' voices out there who could wade in and make a ruling?

5/5

I've actually never seen those done as character fixes, and I have seen and performed quite a few. I mean theoretically you could reverse engineer numbers if things took place within a level. But the problem is that skill values change as you level up, and I don't see it being practical, or really even feasible to adjust day jobs. I think the best bet is to take into account the missing bonus from here on.
