This is, of course assuming that almost all of this book will become PFS legal (as I expect will happen). I know that none of it is right now.
I fully expect that the answer to this will be a resounding no, but on the off chance....
A great many of my characters would have bought deific obedience if it had been available and quite likely entered a prestige class. They're just too cool for a religious character to NOT take.
Retraining them is going to be exceedingly expensive, prohibitively so in some cases.
Is there any chance of getting some kind of cost break? Eg, training from levels of a cleric to an exalted only costs 2 prestige points per level.
Think of all the extra books you could sell:-) :-) (For the record, I'll be buying the book regardless)

Update 10/16/13: New ruling: You cannot use retraining to replace a base class level with a prestige class level.
You can't change those base levels to prestige class levels for any amount of retraining costs.

Well, darn. I'd forgotten that the rules lawyering munchkins had forced Paizo into that particular Nerf.
Oh well. I guess my characters can still do the obediences and just not get any mechanical benefit :-( (the feat itself is only rarely worth the benefit, especially for the less than 12th level characters of PFS).

Not sure if its a safe way to think, blaming 'rules lawyering munchkins' for 'forcing' paizo to make a nerf. Retraining has a lot of issues on its own.
And don't forget you can always go out of your way to make an evangelist now, or a sentinel, or an exalted. Whatever floats your boat. That's always been PFS's MO for new content anyway hasn't it?

There are several things I don't like about retraining. But I really think calling the people who tried every bizarre interpretation to allow them to take only levels in prestige classes "rules lawyering munchkins" is a pretty fair assessment. Especially when they continued in the face of very clear statements by Paizo.

If by "rules lawyering munchkins" you mean "people who just want a clear and easy to use rule," and by "Paizo" you mean "one developer who doesn't like people telling him that a rule needs help to make sense," then I agree with you.
