So i want to be colossal sized... Permanently...any help?

Advice

I'm joining a new campaign, rules are... no tier 1.

My DM has ruled I can't be any form of giant heritage tiefling, skinwalker, ect. (Easily the only way to be a large sized humanoid XD)

SooOOooOOoo

What do I do? I'm currently considering a natural attack build, If we can go from small to colossal it'd be better (Kobold)

Your options:

1.) Be a Synthesist Summoner

Well i didn't mention that part, but it's banned :(

how big CAN I get?

Large.

I mean, if your intention is to be a Humanoid.

If not, Huge as a Druid, semi-permanently (all day long).

Sounds like your just trying to irritate the GM!!

So you know if your so big, your gonna be considered a monster! Not to mention there isn't gonna be an Inn,Fortress or tavern that would be able to house you!!!

And your added food consumption costs and your gear? you'll be walking around in small clothes at first lvl.

You're gonna need a wish spell, I think. This can work to your advantage and your GM's.

Start the game as a normal sized PC (small or med) and have your character declare loudly and often his intention to wish himself big. Have him spend time in-game researching methods of growing larger or methods of earning wishes to that end. As a player, tell your GM that your character is prepared to go on an epic quest with this goal in mind.

Your character may never actually get to be colossal sized, but he might achieve large or huge, and everyone should have fun in the process.

Wish spell.

Darn, i'll keep it on the backburner then for a campaign that doesn't start at 1.

Thanks everyone :D

If allowed third-party stuff, check out In the Company of Giants from Rite Publishing. The Jotun Paragon racial class eventually get you to Colossal, but you start off Medium.

The easiest way is with Polymorph Any Object, which, purchased as a Spellcasting Service, would set you back 1200gp.

If a Kobold is 'related' to a dragon, you will have a Duration Factor of +9, which is enough to make it permanent.

I'm fairly certain the biggest anyone can get is Huge, and I know Druids are the best way to go about it. Not to mention, they can technically go Colossal with Natural attacks using Strong Jaw. Huge with Colossal damage. If you combine Monk, it's the same deal but with Unarmed Strikes.

I don't know of any way to get past that barrier... unless my FAQ I create ends up with the Design team answering "Yes" to feats/class feats stacking with Wildshape/Strong Jaw.

The easiest way to do this is probably using Magic Jar or Possess Object. Of course that generally requires a Tier 1 caster type.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Eat a lot of Twinkies.

8th level druid lets you go huge, powerful shape lets you go one size larger. So thats colossal. strong jaw makes your bite two sizes stronger so that hits harder than gargantuan? cloak of fangs increases teeth by one more size? so now your bite is double that of a gargantuan?

If your DM is willing to go all the way back to D&D 3.5, there's a spell called Giant Size in the Complete Arcane book that will let you become Colossal. It is, however, not permanent in itself, and further fudging/permanency/wishing would be required.

Scarab Sages

Metamorph Alchemist can go to Huge Giant all day, no spells. It's great for a shape-shifting build when druid is banned. (No tier 1)

Two long years...

But it can be dispelled.

You're going to have a really hard time doing this in a way that can't be dispelled that rules out almost all forms of magic.
