Revival Question: Prestige plus Gold

Pathfinder Society

As per the handbook for season 5, the cost to get a Raise Dead spell cast on you is 5,450 gold pieces or 16 prestige points.

I am wondering if it is possible, if you have (for example) 8 prestige points could you spend those 8 in addition to 2725 gold pieces to get the spell cast on you, essentially paying half of the cost that your faction would not.

No. It's either or. You can not combine gold and prestige on the same purchase, in general.

You can't do that, but if you pay gold, your party members can chip in. Usually people are pretty generous like that, as long as you didn't do something monumentally stupid to get yourself killed.

Don't forget the two Restorations to remove the two permanent negative levels. You can use prestige for one or both of those and gold for the resurrection, if you want, since that's three different spellcastings you need. However, as already mentioned you can't split the costs of one spellcasting between gold and prestige.

I usually use gold for the restorations. 8 prestige is worth more than 2000 gold to me, if you have it, anyway

In general, the campaign excludes spending PP for a sum of gold, allowing it only as complete payment for a specific reward. You can't get some of these rewards with gold, first and maybe foremost, body recovery.
