Gen Con: Eyes of the Ten

Hello all,

Welcome from the UK. I will be coming to Gencon US this year for my third visit and thought I would see if there was any interest in people putting together a group for a full run of Eyes of the Ten?

Are there three other brave souls willing to risk all in service to the Decemvirate along with some devious GM willing to make us sweat blood and tears to achieve victory?

I am happy to volunteer running something in return although coming from the UK does somewhat limit my luggage allowance...:)

Greetings from the colonies! I hail from the not-so-far-away land called ... Ohio. I would be willing to join you on such a quest to risk all for the Decemvirate - if I were able to level myself up from level 10.1 to 12.0 in time for Gencon. It's a long shot for me, but I'll do what I can. High-level missions are few and far between in my area.

You might try to do an online session over Roll20.net. Check the Online Play section of the forums to see if there are some games you could join.

If Mike is willing to dedicate some tables to it. I can run it.

Let's expand the question a little.

Mike, and the people who've been attending Gen Con for a while,

All the tables in the Sagamore are going to be booked with Pathfinder Society games, and people will have bought tickets for those. Could you recommend a good place in the convention center where people could sit down for an unscheduled 4- or 5-hour game?

Event submissions for the Con are still open. If Mike doesn't mind you running a PFS game there outside of their sanctioned events, you could likely submit it under your own name and be assigned a room. Just be prepared for confusion when people show up at the Sagamore looking for their muster.

That said, there are many places where you could just sit down and play. There is a games library with tables free for everyone, and a number of the rooms will sometimes have tables open, especially if you are playing later in the evening. If someone has sold tickets to an event they do have the right to bump you.

With the nature of Eyes of the Ten, I don't think I'd try to do it in Sagamore. I think I would either find a spot in a bar or hotel lobby area, or I would see if Mike would submit it to the regular regular RPG block.

+1 As long as you can get it organized and find a meetup site for your players.

That would be extremely generous of you and would be much appreciated.

You could always bring a card table and do it in a hotel room...much more peace and quiet for something as big as EOTT.

With Mahtobedis, you better bring your A game.

I always do! :)

Now all we need is a couple more brave souls willing to risk it...

Kyle Baird ran it in Sagamore last year

I apologize for the thread Necro, but I will be able to attend GenCon on Saturday and Sunday. I really want to play all four parts of Eyes, but can not locally due to my work schedule. Feel free to PM me with any information.

Well if we can get 4 people and Mahtobedis is still up for running it then I would love the chance to play through this during Gencon.

Is there likely to be an Eyes of the Ten running at Paizocon?

Keep in mind that if you are going to run it/play it at a convention do NOT do this in a general gaming area. There are so many spoilers in this adventure series that it should always be done away from other players to prevent ruining of the experience before playing it.

I have played through it and am running it now and we made sure to have a home game location available. I would suggest either a small game room or a hotel room.

Enjoy it was one of the best gaming experiences.
