Hey guys, I don't normally buy PDFs of RPG stuff and prefer the Hardcovers, but recently I come across a few smaller 3rd Party PDFs have I have fallen in love with, specifically:

Spes Magna Games: Making Crafting Work

and

Zombie Sky Press: Incantations in Theory and Practice

I am curious to know if you guy have any more recommendations of stuff in this vein, inexpensive alternate rules or good additional content that is easy to print out.

Incantations in Theory & Practice is the nine pages of material that should have been in your Core rulebook. :)

101 Boons is $5.99.

And hidden in Down the Rabbit Hole is a set of mechanics for playing with dreamstuff as well as the basics of Dreamburning from Coliseum Morpheuon. Coliseum's in print, though.

And checking, the Wereblooded has a new race option for $5.

I'll have to look. What you're looking for is most often bundled into larger books.

If you're looking for racial options, the Emergence of the Aardvolk, Cackle of the Gnolls, Half-Faerie Dragons, and Arborlings are great.

Speaking of Clockwork Gnome, Along the Faerie Path offers some fantastic fey critters and Cloven Hoof Syndicate is a great rogue/crime syndicate resource for GMs.

Also, there are a ton of great stuff in all the free Wayfinders.

Good stuff guys, keep'em coming. Pimp me your wares.

I have no specific thing in mind that I want honestly.

I don't tend to stray from base races much so probably won't pickup alternate PC race books.

So far the additional rulesystems are my favorites. Certainly grabbing Ars Metamagica from Spes Magna as well.

If you want to add a new base class to you game, start with LPJ Design's Machinesmith class.

Scarab Sages RPG Superstar 2008 Top 4; Contributor; Publisher, Legendary Games

The majority of products from Legendary Games are under $5, from $1 Mythic Minis filled with new mythic path abilities and feat conversions, to $2.49 Gothic Grimoires, redolent with creepiness in both flavor and mechanics, from spells to class abilities, templates to feats; and a slew of products right at 4.99 covering topics from martial arts to creepy constructs, blasphemous cultists and heroes in a horror campaign, mysterious faeries and their wild hunts, and adventures through the haunted dreams of a coven of witches to a ruined alien city at the top of the world haunted by mutants, monsters, and cyborg ninjas!

Check it out!

Even if slightly over $5 I would recommend pretty much everything Rite Publishing has put out for their 101 series (or #30 series, or any series for that matter). The Genius Guides from Rogue Genius games that I have bought have been pretty great for classes, the Genius Guide to the War Master was great, as is the Talented Rogue (so much so that all the other Talented Classes are now on my must-buy list) and I've heard nothing but good things about the Time Thief. The three 110 Spell Variants books are great buys too.

Bite Me! Wereblooded and Forces of Darkness are on sale for $2.99 each through DriveThruRPG through the end of the month. The latter is useful for a Wrath of the Righteous campaign.

Oh hey while your here.

Download includes TWO files: a full color version AND a stripped black and white version for easy printing, both versions hyperlinked internally and to online Pathfinder resources for easy interactive reference.

Much love.

In my opinion, it's hard to go wrong with anything from Rogue Genius Games.

Tome of Twisted Things (two 5/5 star reviews) is only $5.
(However right now, for a V-Day sale it is only $2.15 on DriveThru)

Hey Buzzard, if you are looking for some interesting things in an easy to find search, I would just head over to Endzeitgeist.com and search by the category you are looking for. He provides links to the actual products which can show you the price of the item on OBS. But you can always come back here and buy it from this site.

That is always a good place to start and do some research.
If you are just looking for "stuff" I can give you a whole list. What is it you are specifically looking for?

Edit: also i totally forgot en garde!

Alright, looks like we're self-promoting here.

The Tinker: Master of Modular Mechanical Mayhem is a base class whose central concept is that of the squad commander. A tinker designs, deploys, and commands automatons in real-time, effectively making him a small party unto himself. With dozens of innovations to customize the tinker and over a hundred inventions to customize the automatons, no two tinkers will play in entirely the same fashion. The class is a mere $4 and is nominated for top 10 of 2013 by Endzeitgeist, the Ger-man with the Cosmic Fistpump (tm) logo.

Balance was, of course, a primary concern when designing the tinker. Most other minion masters ignore the idea of minion and action economy (see necromancers) and tend to break down the game if they go too far. A tinker's automatons require fairly constant updates in order to operate at peak efficiency. As such, a tinker who does not plan accordingly finds himself forced to burn his own actions in order to keep the machine running. In this way, a tinker can require as many as two rounds to bring all of his guns to bear in exactly the way he wants it.

Tinkers who do not enjoy that aspect of the playstyle can always opt for various prestige classes, each of which is a force multiplier that makes the number of possible builds balloon outward again and again. The following prestige classes are available.

- Leader of a robotic band
- Inventor who creates custom weapons
- Cybernetic surgeon who turns allies, and himself, into Inspector Gadget
- Necromancer with robots
- Super Mega Ultra Mecha Fighting for You, Me, and All of Our Friends (also nominated for top 10 of 2013, mainly because it brings back the childhood of anyone born in the '80s)

If you are willing to go beyond $5 to get everything, The Authoritative Tinker offers 25% off if you grab everything at once.

As with most of my products, it takes some preparation to get to understand how the class works, but the end result is so cool that it's easily worth it.

Well, it looks like we're taking the jackets off and self-promoting now, so here's my pitch:

Monk Reborn
This is a retooling of the monk class, with full BAB and customizable options. $1.99.

A Fistful of Denarii
Eleven base (non-spellcaster) classes. At $5.55 it's a touch over $5, but since it's a pretty nice bundle, I think it's in the genre you're talking about.

@Jason Nelson: Ah those Mythic ones will certainly come in useful later in the campaign I'm working on. Bookmarked the page for later purchases.

@Scott_UAT: Sure, why not. Free is under $5!

@GarnathFrostmantle Wasn't expecting to get such a huge array of stuff. So while I feel this thread could be useful for other people so post anything you like thats under $5, I personally have narrowed it down to wanting Alternate Rule systems, like the crafting one and the ritual magic one.

@everyone: Great stuff so far guys. I hope your opening up some peoples eyes to whats out there.

Every supplement and one-shot adventure for Kaidan the setting of Japanese horror is always available for less than $5, though the Rite Publishing sale makes things even cheaper. (Only The Curse of the Golden Spear mini-AP is more than that.)

Frozen Wind (Kaidan one-shot) is always free!

Rite Publishing has some really interesting stuff. I especially like In the Company of Gargoyles and ...of Tengu and also Fey Archetypes (for mortals who have been touched by Faerie).

Those are actually both super fun classes. I personally love the Charlatan, and one of my players ran a Spark and had a blast.

We have a lot of spells and feats focused on party synergy or making unusual class combinations work well together. I would recommend this one specifically, though there are a lot of different options. Check us out:
