@Tarx: pointing out that being Flat-Footed in the beginning of combat leaves you open to maneuvers, was really an eye-opener to me.

Recently we had another interesting fight, squishy casters vs. goblins. At this point the chance of hitting with an AoO were on the low side, so both sides actually used a lot of maneuvers without getting significantly slowed down by lack of feats.

hitting him for 70 DMG is great but if he has 180 HP and you're the DPs, aren't you infinitely better off disarming him? As a dps character, wouldn't being disarmed be an effective combat option against you?

Yes. The game I'm currently running has your standard Invulnerable Rager barbarian. He does a lot of damage with his greatsword. I've started having many of the more intelligent baddies disarm him, since it really hurts his damage output. Since disarming can be done in place of an attack, the baddies still often get an attack or two in on him as well. If he picks his sword up he eats an AoO, and if he draws a backup weapon he's using something inferior. Either way it eats up his move action so he's not full-attacking, severely nerfing his damage output.

I've been putting together a Maneuver Fighter for a bit now. Standard Lore Warden chassis. Currently full Lore Warden.

I've taken to looking at a Maneuver Master Monk dip for Flurry of Maneuvers and I was wondering what everyone thought about that class ability and how it interacts with the "rankings" of combat maneuvers.

Wondering if the ability is worth the dip.

I found maneuver master worth it up to about five levels. It depends on your stats and goals, largely. For me, Lorewarden was the dip.
