So, arcane blast allows you to sacrifice a spell slot to shout a (x+2)d6 (X=spell level) to shoot an untyped magical touch attack that blasts through everything.
Improved spell recall alows you to regain spell slots for a number of arcane points equal to 1/2 the spell level.
Would the combo of these be worth it?
-1 arcane point for 4d6 damage? 2 for 6d6? 3 for 8d6? And this stuff cant be resisted, only dodged.
I'm thinking of taking this for my magus. Could be useful, but I'd like to know what others think.

I'm not looking for a way to make a build around it, but as a way to get more reliable ranged damage than my bow, or scorching ray, or acid arrow. I'm a dex-magus, so hitting isnt a problem, but I've been running up against a lot of DR, energy resistance & spell resistance which has mitigated the usefulness. I have a feat coming up that I dont know what to do with so I've been thinking of "enlarging my toolbox".

Snowball ignores SR, requires a touch attack and doesnt allow a save against its damage component. It scales to 5d6 damage from a level 1 spell slot and can stagger the opponent hit.
If concerned about energy resistance consider Elemental Spell or find a rod of it.
