Defensive Sword and Shield Fighter.

Advice

Silver Crusade

So I've got a Level 12 Fighter who was my first character ever and my build is obviously marked by the fact I was trying everything out. Fortunately, I've been lucky and smart with my play and I've survived without dying to Level 12. Current Build is below.

Abilities
STR 18, DEX 18, CON 16, INT 10, WIS 14, CHA 10
TRAITS: Defender of the Society, and Eyes and Ears of the City.

Feats:
Human - Iron Will
Combat 1 - Shield Focus
Level 1 - Weapon Focus Longsword
Combat 2 - Power Attack
Level 3 - Dodge
Combat 4 - Weapon Specialization
Level 5 - Combat Reflexes
Combat 6 - Vital Strike (retrained to Critical Versatility at 12)
Level 7 - Improved Initiative
Combat 8 - Greater Weapon Focus Longsword
Level 9 - Improved Critical Longsword
Combat 10 - Critical Focus
Level 11 - Dazing Assault
Level 12 - Greater Weapon Specialization Longsword

Various gear and items has elevated my Attacks to:
Melee w/Power Attack is +20/+15/+10 1d8+21 17-20x2 Sickening
Range is +21/+16/+11 1d8+9
Melee w/Dazing Assault +19/+14/+9 1d8+13 DC 22 Fort or Dazed 1 round

And my AC and Saves to
AC 35, Touch 19, FF 30
F +14, R +11, W +11

I've been contemplating going stronger on defense and eliminating my critical feats, making the following Retrains (with GM permission) to
Leve 5 Retrain Combat Reflexes to Missile Shield
Level 6 Fighter Retrain Vital Strike to Disruptive instead of Critical Versatility)
Level 9 Retrain Improved Critical Longsword to Spellbreaker
Level 10 Retrain Critical Focus to Ray Shield

My thought is, I'm not dealing out that many Crits and my crit damage isn't really leaping to killshot range (Maxed Out I'm only going to deal 58 damage plus Sickened.

But with the shield feats, I'll neutralize the Many Shot attack Ranged fighters use on their first attack and deflect the scorching ray, Ray of Enfeeblements and Disintegrations that get thrown my way. My shield has the Impervious enhancement and +2 enchantment. which would help with absorbing damage from caster's rays.

What does the rest of your party consist of? If there's lot of damage dealers, than you won't need those defensive feats as much. If you're, say, the only frontliner, then you want to be able to stand there and take it as much as possible.
