False Priest

Advice

Just seen the false priest sorcerer and I've been trying to think of spells and items to make use of false focus and false channel.
Something like gloves of storing and spring loaded wrist sheaths so you can have wands on hand, with spell tattoos on the back of the wrists for extra spells.

I decided to try a sample build, human, with the rakshasa bloodline, and eldritch heritaging into arcane bloodline for the familiar, which can be replaced with a rakshasa familiar through improved familiar. Trying to go for flavor over optimization for this one. Any other ideas for feats / magic items?

The biggest ones are the resurrection spells on scrolls for them. Infinite Raise Deads or Resurrection is pretty cool. Restoration scrolls too.

Yup the scrollbook of spells is a great deal for the false priest. It works even better if after level 9 you go into pathfinder savant to get the scrolls at your caster level.

Actually it's an even better deal then you might realize. Normally there is no reason to buy magic items at a high caster level sense they are just going to be used up. But for a false priest they aren't. You could get a scroll of dispel magic with a caster level of 20. Also greater magic weapon and other things.

No need to go arcane savant it only saves a little money and costs a whole caster level.

Out of curiously why do people always want to disguise themselves ... My personally i'd be a "preist" then go around taking "offerings" for our god then pocket the stuff or go to the churches and be the new guy the big man upstairs sent to help out pocket all the coins/silver

Btw I play a evil money hungry infamy seeking bardic thief
But i'm curious as to why "normal" people bluff priests

Why be a priest? Why, to spread the glory of Razmir of course. As far as scrolls/tattoos go, raise dead etc, and restoration are definites. And a CL20 divine scroll is something I hadn't considered.
As good as pathfinder savant is, it requires a crafting feat, and the campaigns I'm in don't often have enough down time to craft and, as fictionfan pointed out, you lose a caster level. Also, I'd be missing out on bloodline powers and spells for my main bloodline. Speaking of which, any suggestions for good bloodlines to take? Rakshasa seems good considering the increased DC for spellcraft checks against you, and the ability to trick opponents into think you'd cast something else. Disintegrate diguised as a prestidigitation, just to show them how powerful magic granted by Razmir is.

what is False Priest Sorcerer from? I haven't seen it and, as my name and avatar may indicate, I am interested....

Here. Sorcerer archetype from inner sea magic.

There's also a PrC (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/prestige-classes/other-paizo/n-r/razmiran- priest) that allows you to "channel" & gain some healing spells if you're interested fake healer.

Why be a Razmiran Priest? Consider my character's raison d'etre: He's a Chaotic Good renegade - an Emberkin Aasimar with the Martyred Bloodline who fled Razmiran for Andoran sometime after earning his blue robes. His ancestor probably stood up to Razmir in the early days of his ascent and paid the price for it. He's become enamored of the Andoran cause and uses his status as a renowned actor as cover for his subversive activities - think V for Vendetta meets good-guy-John-Wilkes-Booth. Having seen the man behind the curtain, he is, to put it mildly, skeptical of all religion, and disquietingly knowledgeable about the topic, to boot.

In other news, False Focus is nifty - if you're going to do it, go all the way and buy a 100-gp specimen. You can use it to instantly mock-up the Alchemical Power components for certain spells as described in the Adventurer's Armory.

Because Razmir is all powerful, all knowing, and those who join in worship of him know riches and power they could never imagine?

In all seriousness, the prestige class is pretty decent, and I like the idea of playing a sorcerer sent out by the church of Razmir to act as a public face, giving the church good publicity. Some sort of LN character who goes out and does good, like donating holy water, and undercutting the churches of those lesser gods etc.
