Hello again, bracers... For the 4th time... Where's my item? (Crying)

Ffffff, I need a voting break. They're starting to fuse together in some horrible torcstring umbrella soup of the +10 skill bonus.
And I just accidentally voted for the one I didn't want. Darghggh.

OMG I almost died laughing! Do Slaadish Chefs specialize in soup?
Oh, that's a clever idea. If it had been a bit better presented, it might have gone on my Top 32.

I just had to vote for the Magic the Gathering item. I feel dirty.

If it can be rendered in 80 words, excellent. If it's a great idea but requires 300 words to do it, I'll still like it as long as it's not wasting words.

Your item melds with my body part?! NOPE.
Gross Flesh Thing Vs Gross Blood Thing.
michaeljpatrick wrote: Oh wow. An actual weapon. I know you guys mentioned seeing them but I finally saw an item that is a weapon. Even says so in the title. I've seen Weapons, Rings, Rods, Scepters, too many items than I can count that use two or more slots, items that use a slot but you can use it with other slots.
Good times.

I have yet to fall in love with anything over 250 or under 150. I think around 200 is generally best, but it really depends on the item.
I've hated everything I've seen under 100 so far, but that doesn't mean that less wording is bad.
So, I've seen a few posts mention something like this. Are the items being paired with other items with similar scores by the algorithm?
Because if that's the case, my item must not be very popular, if that was what it was paired with.

Hey 50 word item! It's been a while! Up-voted!

I don't think so and I wouldn't let that worry you.
Tom Forkbeard wrote: Someone probably already asked this, but what do you like better, long or short - 296 words or 80? 80, less words to read. I found that most items that use up nearly their whole size didn't need to.
Finally had a pair-up of 2 from my top 4. Had to make a hard but satisfying choice.
111 word Item. I've seen you twice now. I like your moxie.

I think it's based on how many times the item has been voted on (one way or another). That's why the "both items are equally good/bad" button causes problems, because neither item gets tallied, so they stand more likelihood of showing up again.

Initially everything is supposed to be compared with all the other items first, for a rough comparison, as I recall. So once all possible combinations are exhausted, we all pass out. Wait, that last part may be wrong ;-)

Sometimes as the voting goes on, an item that got a lot of up-votes will be paired with an item with many down-votes. Why? Ask a programmer or a statistician. It will happen so don't sweat it.

Is the M:tG item the one with the flavor text at the bottom, because I just ran into it.

I still haven't seen Day-Glo poop. I feel left out.
If you are claiming your item affects the senses, please make sure it actually affects more than one.
Treppa wrote: I still haven't seen Day-Glo poop. I feel left out. I just saw it today for the first time. It's not as bad as the other poop item I saw.
I liked your idea, I'm not sure why you picked that spell, but lucky for you the other item was bad so I still get to vote for you!
I saw an item that doesn't do anything. I mean it does a thing but really doesn't DO ANYTHING. No mechanical or functional effect whatsoever.
What was the point?
I wonder how many locks there are in the world, and how the GM would like to announce each one? e.g. walking through a city?
id like to purchase my multiclassing please.
