Hello all. I am planning on running a series of low level scenarios. I plan on starting up at least two "tables" of PbPs.

The first "table" will be oriented toward new/newer players and will start with #5-08 The Confirmation and will be followed by, possibly First Steps 1 and Master of the Fallen Fortress. This table will consist of six players.

The second "table" will start out as a winter themed set of scenarios consisting of the Frostfur Captives, Shades of Ice series, Icebound Outpost, ect... This table will consist of four players, and will be given a chance continue with the same players if they want and based on posting history.

Players selection will be mostly a first come, first serve basis, but may be handpicked based on my own enigmatic criteria.

As time goes by and I judge interest/success of the PbPs. I will add more scenarios and possibly a third table to the mix.

I am looking for players who can consistently post 1+ (preferably 2-3+) times a day.

*I understand that things come up and I, myself, sometimes can't post as often I would prefer. As long as you make a point of noting it in the Discussion thread, there won't be a problem.

I have run 40+ PbPs and can say with some confidence that most games will run approximately one month.

These are PFS legal games and will require a PFS legal PC.

Once people begin to express interest, I will set up a spreadsheet for player queue.

Hey Tektite - I'd be interested in checking out the second table you describe - (this is Morin, by the way, from the game where we may one day reach Ravenmoor). Terrill is not built with any sort of winter theme in mind, but he hasn't played any of the scenarios you list. He's one chronicle away from 4th level at the moment, don't know if that's too high for what you've got in mind.

Not at all. Welcome Terrill!

Question: is the new ruling from the developers that racial SLAs allow early entry into prestige classes PFS legal?

Dark Archive

Hello Tektite,
I am very interested, especially because of your proscribed 2-3 posts a day. I'm constantly checking the games I play so I can act as quickly as possible. I am a new player with decades of gaming experience who's completed two modules so far, and am playing two others online. One of those is The Confirmation, so I assume I would go to the other table if accepted? Gilead has completed The Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment, but I may replace him with a different cleric or druid if OK. Thanks for your consideration.

Liberty's Edge

Teltite, I am interested in the 2nd group, though I have played Shades of Ice 1 & 2. I have not played the others.

From the icy North, a threadbare dwarf walks upon the horizon. His skin is well weathered from the elements. His hair and beard dance wild in the wind like a flickering flame. Yet an aura of calm surrounds him with gentleness upon his face. Unarmed and unarmored, he grins with a greeting.

"I come from the land of ice and snow . . ."

Sign me up for Icebound Outpost. =v)

i have a level 1 (1xp) cleric and a level 1 (2xp) dex halfling figter available if interested

Silver Crusade

I would like to apply for the second group with my cleric of Desna, I've played all if the first group games with other characters - very fun. I am very posty, and enjoy tough games. Background, sheet, etc., are in profile.

Sovereign Court

I just completed 1 XP from first steps part 1. Izoki is a tengu shield magus aka Skirnir. I am looking forward to playing with you all. He takes people a little too literally and hates cliches as they greatly confuse him.

Scarab Sages

I am a grizzled old-school Basic and AD&D (1st ed) gamer who is new to Pathfinder. I would like the opportunity to play in the "kiddie" table (aka first table) with Arush Imhentep.

Grand Lodge

Marianne, could you please put your character sheet in your profile. Currently you only have a background.

Grand Lodge

I would love to join either table. I have done frostfur Captives on another toon, and First Step 1. I can hide what I know if you accept this toon. Thanks

Sovereign Court

When Shades of Ice Part II rolls around (the only one of that series that I missed somehow), let me know. This character has to play that one (for. . . reasons) and should be free by then.

Silver Crusade

Whoops! Must have forgotten to post it from herolab, sorry about that it should all be there now.

Sovereign Court

Just finished Confirmation.

Scarab Sages

I'm pretty new to Pathfinder.

Can anyone tell me how wearing a shield (buckler, light shield, heavy shield) impacts spell casting for a cleric? Meaning, do I need to stow my shield away (and lose the AC bonus) if I want to cast a spell but keep my weapon in hand? Is a buckler light enough to allow you to still cast spells with it strapped to your arm?

I might want to make changes to my character's equipment based on the answers to the questions above.

Thanks in advance.

Grand Lodge

If you have a weapon or something else occupying one hand, a cleric is able to cast spells if he is wielding a light shield or a buckler in his off hand.

Hey Tektite, You ran me in Sanos Abduction recently. I played Radiant, a bard/ninja. I have played all the mods from your second group and would have to disqualify myself from the first IF you stick to your goal of new players. If not, please consider me. I would be happy to fill any role and would like to think I can help the group out in general.

I liked your game style and would love to get to play with you another time. Posting 2-3 times a day is not a problem for me. I might try out one of the new classes if it fits with the group.

Hola... checking in. Either table works, though I sortof prefer the second.

Though I've heard... things... about that Terrill guy.

It's not a good time for me to pick up any new online games unfortunately but I would recommend Oladon, she's a posting machine.

You're just jealous of his hair. No, wait, that's another guy.

Have to agree with Pirate Rob, Oladon's a dedicated poster. Kinda fun too.

I'm going to have to get you caught in an acidball or something and have all your hair fall out. Might be too late for a vargouille, but I could probably come up with something. Hrm.

The Exchange

DM, I've a brand new zen archer monk, who would love a spot in the first group, if possible. Thanks for the consideration.

I will begin dividing groups out this evening. Looking to get started toward the end of the week/first of next week.

Liberty's Edge

Hello, Nazard here. I've never played PFS before, so I probably should ask to be in the first table for beginners (though I'm not a beginner to Pathfinder at all). Eryndir is starting out as a zen archer, but will eventually multiclass into inquisitor of Erastil.

Dark Archive

Hello GM Tektite!
If it makes things easier/increases my chances of playing I wouldn't mind playing at the first table. I'm playing the confirmation now, but can't imagine it would be hard to avoid spoilers. And as a newer player, I'd love the chance to run the other "starter" adventures.

GM Tektite: I submitted a cleric, Arush Imehntep, for the first game but it looks like that table might need a rogue. I have a human rogue made up that I could play instead if it would help party balance.

I've just been conscripted for a Shades of Ice game, but hopefully I can still play the other two games at table #2?

Of course.

I found out this morning that I will be working away from a computer or mobile reception all of this week. Which means I won't be able to post until evening/ early morning. I will get the lists together this evening, but we won't look to start until the weekend / first of next week.

At the moment, I see no problems with anyone getting into the groups they wanted. For the first table, I was thinking we could run Master of the Fallen Fortress, The Confirmation, and First Steps in that order, as it makes some RP sense.

The second table will start with Shades of Ice series.

That works... it'll give me a bit to free up a character, and/or make a new one.

Silver Crusade

I'd highly recommend running The Confirmation first, its supposed to be a first mission nominally, and there is a, very nice IMO, benefit for doing it with a 0XP character.

Question for all you PFS veterans: I signed up for PFS years ago, registered a character through this website years ago, then never used him as nobody was offering to run PFS PBP games at that time. Since I made and registered that character, I've changed a lot about how I build characters, and looking over him, I can see that I would never want to play him as is. How much can I change about him? Is he just registered somewhere as a name, or are all his intimates on file someplace and if what used to be a human fighter turns into a gnomish sorcerer with the same name, will somebody cry foul?

Dark Archive

He's just a name, number and faction. Pretty much everything can be changed but the number as long as the character is still level 1. If so, change him to your heart's content.

Can I change the faction, too?

Provided you are not yet Level 2, Yes!

As it is stated in the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play,

GtPSOP wrote:

At the start of a Pathfinder’s career, you are allowed to

adjust your character before settling in for the long haul. Before you level up a character for the first time, you may change any aspect of it except its Pathfinder Society Number.

You can change anything about the character, including selling* equipment back at full price, before playing it as a second level PC.

*You cannnot sell back expended items, used potions, partial quantities of ammmunition, ect...

Cool! Thanks all.

Here is the breakdown. Marianne brought up a good point about running The Confirmation first.

Table One
Nazard
Gilead
Arush
Skorn
Senjin
Jules

Check in here for The Confirmation

Table Two
Marianne
Sidney
Two others joining

Check in here for Shades of Ice

Gilthanis and Izoki, you didn't specify which table you would like to join. The tables are full, but if you'd like, I will start up another one shortly with Oladon and you two will have first dibs and we'll find a fourth.

Everyone will have until Wed. 8a EST to check in to the respective threads. If you haven't checked in by then, I will look for alternates.

Sovereign Court

I am looking for the Confirmation and Shades of Ice. Is Shades starting now? I can wait for a second table if necessary.

I prefer Ice, so I will wait :)

Grand Lodge

Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

I've got several 2nd level martial characters and would like to get into Ice if possible.

2nd level:
Aasimar Paladin
Halfling Cavilar (Beast rider)
Half-elf Fighter (Lore Warden)
Human Gunslinger

I could always make a new 1st level something to fit the bill as well.

Sovereign Court

I'll try to keep a watch on Shades of Ice and hopefully if there's room I will pop in for Part II with Fizzbeard here. He's not too far away from finishing Stolen Heir now and I don't have any plans to play him soon.

I can play Part 2 only also, if there is room.

@GM Tektite - If you start a 3rd table I'd be happy to roll a character for it.

Grand Lodge

I'd like to submit Marduk, traveling monk of the 4 winds lvl 1. He's joined the society as a road to personal perection.

1st time PFS.

Grand Lodge

Edit: been accepted in another game, so withdrawing.

yeah, if you start another table or a rolling recruitment thread like some of the other GMs have been doing, i'd like to play. i have a cavalier and a monk going cleric available now and i'm pretty sure that my sorc and my wizard will be free soon too.

@djpika and cuatroespada: As soon as a couple of my other games finish, I'll post another link and you guys are in.
