Hello all. I am planning on running a series of low level scenarios. I plan on starting up at least two "tables" of PbPs.
The first "table" will be oriented toward new/newer players and will start with #5-08 The Confirmation and will be followed by, possibly First Steps 1 and Master of the Fallen Fortress. This table will consist of six players.
The second "table" will start out as a winter themed set of scenarios consisting of the Frostfur Captives, Shades of Ice series, Icebound Outpost, ect... This table will consist of four players, and will be given a chance continue with the same players if they want and based on posting history.
Players selection will be mostly a first come, first serve basis, but may be handpicked based on my own enigmatic criteria.
As time goes by and I judge interest/success of the PbPs. I will add more scenarios and possibly a third table to the mix.
I am looking for players who can consistently post 1+ (preferably 2-3+) times a day.
*I understand that things come up and I, myself, sometimes can't post as often I would prefer. As long as you make a point of noting it in the Discussion thread, there won't be a problem.
I have run 40+ PbPs and can say with some confidence that most games will run approximately one month.
These are PFS legal games and will require a PFS legal PC.
Once people begin to express interest, I will set up a spreadsheet for player queue.

Hey Tektite - I'd be interested in checking out the second table you describe - (this is Morin, by the way, from the game where we may one day reach Ravenmoor). Terrill is not built with any sort of winter theme in mind, but he hasn't played any of the scenarios you list. He's one chronicle away from 4th level at the moment, don't know if that's too high for what you've got in mind.

Not at all. Welcome Terrill!

Hello Tektite,
I am very interested, especially because of your proscribed 2-3 posts a day. I'm constantly checking the games I play so I can act as quickly as possible. I am a new player with decades of gaming experience who's completed two modules so far, and am playing two others online. One of those is The Confirmation, so I assume I would go to the other table if accepted? Gilead has completed The Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment, but I may replace him with a different cleric or druid if OK. Thanks for your consideration.

From the icy North, a threadbare dwarf walks upon the horizon. His skin is well weathered from the elements. His hair and beard dance wild in the wind like a flickering flame. Yet an aura of calm surrounds him with gentleness upon his face. Unarmed and unarmored, he grins with a greeting.
"I come from the land of ice and snow . . ."
Sign me up for Icebound Outpost. =v)

I'm pretty new to Pathfinder.
Can anyone tell me how wearing a shield (buckler, light shield, heavy shield) impacts spell casting for a cleric? Meaning, do I need to stow my shield away (and lose the AC bonus) if I want to cast a spell but keep my weapon in hand? Is a buckler light enough to allow you to still cast spells with it strapped to your arm?
I might want to make changes to my character's equipment based on the answers to the questions above.
Thanks in advance.

Hey Tektite, You ran me in Sanos Abduction recently. I played Radiant, a bard/ninja. I have played all the mods from your second group and would have to disqualify myself from the first IF you stick to your goal of new players. If not, please consider me. I would be happy to fill any role and would like to think I can help the group out in general.
I liked your game style and would love to get to play with you another time. Posting 2-3 times a day is not a problem for me. I might try out one of the new classes if it fits with the group.

Have to agree with Pirate Rob, Oladon's a dedicated poster. Kinda fun too.
I'm going to have to get you caught in an acidball or something and have all your hair fall out. Might be too late for a vargouille, but I could probably come up with something. Hrm.

I found out this morning that I will be working away from a computer or mobile reception all of this week. Which means I won't be able to post until evening/ early morning. I will get the lists together this evening, but we won't look to start until the weekend / first of next week.
At the moment, I see no problems with anyone getting into the groups they wanted. For the first table, I was thinking we could run Master of the Fallen Fortress, The Confirmation, and First Steps in that order, as it makes some RP sense.
The second table will start with Shades of Ice series.

That works... it'll give me a bit to free up a character, and/or make a new one.

Question for all you PFS veterans: I signed up for PFS years ago, registered a character through this website years ago, then never used him as nobody was offering to run PFS PBP games at that time. Since I made and registered that character, I've changed a lot about how I build characters, and looking over him, I can see that I would never want to play him as is. How much can I change about him? Is he just registered somewhere as a name, or are all his intimates on file someplace and if what used to be a human fighter turns into a gnomish sorcerer with the same name, will somebody cry foul?

As it is stated in the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play,
At the start of a Pathfinder’s career, you are allowed to
adjust your character before settling in for the long haul. Before you level up a character for the first time, you may change any aspect of it except its Pathfinder Society Number.
You can change anything about the character, including selling* equipment back at full price, before playing it as a second level PC.
*You cannnot sell back expended items, used potions, partial quantities of ammmunition, ect...

Here is the breakdown. Marianne brought up a good point about running The Confirmation first.
Table One
Nazard
Gilead
Arush
Skorn
Senjin
Jules
Check in here for The Confirmation
Table Two
Marianne
Sidney
Two others joining
Check in here for Shades of Ice
Gilthanis and Izoki, you didn't specify which table you would like to join. The tables are full, but if you'd like, I will start up another one shortly with Oladon and you two will have first dibs and we'll find a fourth.
Everyone will have until Wed. 8a EST to check in to the respective threads. If you haven't checked in by then, I will look for alternates.

I've got several 2nd level martial characters and would like to get into Ice if possible.
2nd level:
Aasimar Paladin
Halfling Cavilar (Beast rider)
Half-elf Fighter (Lore Warden)
Human Gunslinger
I could always make a new 1st level something to fit the bill as well.
