I second that curiosity.
And I'd add that if you have the type of GM who are very hung up on details such as things making sence then he might houserule that you can't because how did you learn to cast spells silently (or still) without being able to first cast spells? Personally I would never disallow it because it is so horrible optimization wise.

Note there are a few sorcerer/wizard spells that don't have somatic components, so they can be cast in armor without needing Still Spell. Some examples:
0-level: flare, spark
1st: featherfall, true strike
Also, note that you can retrain feats later on.
