I'd be happy with any class but I would like to see a take on a Talented Summoner- the other existing classes I can imagine what'd you do with them. However I have no idea how you would create the Talented Summoner but I imagine I'd like what you'd make. Let's challenge him people- vote for the Talented Summoner.

Voting Priests here. That sounds awesome.

So, we have released Cavalier, Fighter, Monk, and Rogue.
We've scheduled Barbarian, Ranger, and Witch
The current votes for Talented #8 are:

Alchemist (2)
Cleric (1)
Gunslinger (3)
Magus (1)
Priests* (2)
Sorcerer (1)
Summoner (2)

*As a place for a spontaneous divine caster and aids the GM to tailor priests/clerics to deity beyond Domains and channel to include the armor proficiency, BAB, hit die, spell lists. This might end up being an option in the Talented Oracle, depending on what direction I take that.

Silver Crusade

Not sure if you caught my vote earlier; also voting for cleric.

Shadow Lodge

Magus
Alchemist
Sorcerer
Priests

In that order =)

I was JUST about to assure you I caught your vote... when I realized I hadn't.

NOW I have.

For the moment I'll count that as a vote for Magus. :)

Alchemist, summoner, magus.

*ponders making some sock-puppet accounts to get the vote up for Summoner* ;)

Edit: Or, perhaps I should just write the damn thing myself and shove it at Owen with a "make shiny" note attached. *ponders*

Inquisitor!

Alchemist.

Magus. Currently, it's in archetype hell, and the main customization is scimitar? Yes/No. Could use some rounder customization options and more viable paths than crit-fishing.

Silver Crusade

Magus, please.

All in for Alchemist

Scarab Sages Contributor

So, we have released Cavalier, Fighter, Monk, and Rogue. I plan to release the Talented Barbarian tomorrow (Wednesday Feb 5th).
We've scheduled Ranger and Witch.
And NOW the current votes for Talented #8 are:

Alchemist (5)
Cleric (1)
Gunslinger (3)
Inquisitor (1)
Magus (4)
Priests* (2)
Sorcerer (1)
Summoner (4)

*As a place for a spontaneous divine caster and aids the GM to tailor priests/clerics to deity beyond Domains and channel to include the armor proficiency, BAB, hit die, spell lists. This might end up being an option in the Talented Oracle, depending on what direction I take that.

Obviously this may shift over time as more people vote, but I confess my surprise at seeing alchemist, magus, and summoner in a dead heat. Those are all classes we've released some support for, but those products rarely get much attention. It's an interesting turn of events.

Liberty's Edge

Your editor votes cleric. Because I play clerics. :-)

Talented Barbarian is uploaded to Paizo, so as soon as they get a chance to activate it you fine folks can get your hands on it. :)

The Genius Guide to the Talented Barbarian is now available, as promised!

I'd like to put in a request for a talented bard. I would like to see a bard that has select-able songs and potentially select-able paths. So, in a grittier setting, the bard as a musician is still viable. But, a spell casting bard may not be appropriate (e.g. Dragon Age bards are non-spell casters and tend towards archery).

Magus

Having just tried one out for the first time recently, I really liked it, but felt very restricted by the class in trying to pull off my concept. For the most part, I loved the Kensai archetype to make my finesse whip-using magus, but didn't want all of the critical hit stuff and a few other things so I had to make some GM-approved adjustments. It was a bit of a pain. Alchemist would have been a close second (or even my first choice) if it wasn't for the fact that Advanced Options: Alchemists' Discoveries already fixed my main problem with that class: not liking the Mutagen.

I have a lot of 3pp that solve a lot of modularity problems but I think the class that suffers the most from not being able to be diverse enough is probably the Magus.

I vote for talented gunslinger. One of my characters has the amateur gunslinger feat.

Definitely Magus

I would love for Magus to be the next talented class. My roommate already got his wish list filled (talented fighter and barbarian) and I'm tired of him rubbing it in!!

Inquisitor, with the variant options of the Justicar thrown in!

Alchemist

Scarab Sages Contributor

So, we have released The Genius Guide to the Talented Barbarian, along with Cavalier, Fighter, Monk, and Rogue.
We've scheduled Ranger and Witch.
And NOW the current votes for Talented #8 are:

Alchemist (6)
Bard (1) (Currently being worked on by another writer who I trust, but makes scheduling tricky)
Cleric (2)*
Gunslinger (4)
Inquisitor (2) (With a request to include by Justicar variant)
Magus (8)
Priests** (2)
Sorcerer (1)
Summoner (4)

*With tiebreaker powers if it gets that popular, because keeping your editor happy is important!
**As a place for a spontaneous divine caster and aids the GM to tailor priests/clerics to deity beyond Domains and channel to include the armor proficiency, BAB, hit die, spell lists. This might end up being an option in the Talented Oracle, of maybe even Talented Cleric, depending on what direction I take those.

Magus is now *clearly* in the lead, with alchemist a strong second.

Also someone pointed out that if I did Gunslinger and Paladin after ranger, I could have covered all the classes with a full base attack progression, and could compile those. That's a thought.

Really with the format changes in Talented Monk and that format continuing in Talented Barbarian I'd support any options that allow compilations to be produced, especially if it allows for a print copy to exist. The previous landscape-3 column format makes it difficult to produce a hard copy for the table.

Not a single vote for Druid? Whaaaaaaaaat.

I skimmed the thread so if you said "no druid votes" I missed it.

Shadow Lodge

The full casting classes don't need the help. The Talented Class line is thus far mainly about boosting up the classes that are lagging. And Druid is anything but - it's easily one of the best classes in the game, up with Cleric and Wizard.

Sorcerer with its delayed casting and extremely limited class abilities seems to be an exception, and Witch by special request.

I see my minions have been seriously slacking off of late.

(gulps) err yes and one vote for dark mistress.

Yeah I know I'd just love to see what the Geniuses would do with it. I've absolutely loved everything they've done so far. I'd go so far as to say these would adequately replace the core and base classes in any campaign.

Sorcerer

I lean towards divine casters, so cleric or...spontaneous divine!

Please?

I've always felt, since I started playing, that Priests/Clerics SHOULD be spontaneous.

It just makes no sense to me that your deity forces you to chose spells ahead of time, even if they're not what you're going to need.

I also like the idea of archetypes/talents specifically related to your deity, much like the options in the AD&D Priest's handbook. The Genius Guide to Divine Channeling was a good effort in that direction as well.

Magus vote for me.

alchemist

Liberty's Edge

Paladin

RPG Superstar Season 9 Top 32

Alchemist!!!!!!

My vote after ranger and witch is the Cleric and the paladin which could have a hybrid option for sure

I think overlooking the full spellcaster is not true. Plus once you do one full caster the rest of them would be easier to do. That or take the paladin and include an extra short for clerics. Then take the Magus and include an extra short for wizards and sorcerers

Yeah, I'd love to revise those to the RGG standard 2-column, but I can't justify doing it if there's no additional income, and I don't want to charge folks who already bought one just for a new format.

If I *did* revise them to 2-column, is there anyone who would buy a POD version from DriveThruRPG, and if so, what would you pay for it?

Half the price of the original to get that new format would be OK for me

5-10 dollars for a PoD, especially if it came with the extra talents material included.

Alchemist gets my vote.

i'd pay 30 bucks for these 4 plus their added talents easy. call is Class Talent Volume One.

Owen, I know you are busy, and this thread is about the talented classes - which I love - but is there going to be a followup to the Mythic Feats book?

Even if it isn't soon, just knowing it should be coming, sometime, would be great. :D
