I wouldn't mind solid and fixed classes, as long as there was some wiggle room within those classes...

That being said, with the idea of turning these slots into regular class-based slots, it could sitll be viable, because while someone goes Full Wizard and gets 4 slots at that level available in Wiz spells, someone else can go half Wiz/half Cleric, and get 2 Cleric and 2 Wizard slots at that same level. Make both builds reasonably viable.

Solid and fixed classes are a pox upon the MMO landscape! Though I could see it fitting with the Pathfinder IP a bit better than some other properties... (Again, something I really feel has moved backwards over time in the MMO space. My first two MMOs were non-classed.)
