Sorcerer / Oracle?

Class Discussion

Perhaps a sorcere oracle mix? Also will there be rules for generating ones own class combos?

I always thought Oracle was a Cleric/Sorcerer mix.

Kinda is, oracle is a spontanious divine caster like a sorcerer is a spontanious arcane caster. Im thinking more about abilities though.

While not a tacit set of rules, I believe the ACG will contain a chapter with guidelines and a design philosophy disussion on how to create your own Hybrids...

Because it is.

honestly it's not hard to think of a design philosophy for them now--aim for it to be unique, but somewhere between the "parents" in power, not outshining them (unless that parent is a monk or rogue, because they're kinda deadbeat parents).

So, what you want is a spontaneous caster that picks a category of abilities which leads them down that track and includes a variety of bonus spells as well as class skills inherit to that category choice.

We could make a divine version as well as an arcane version. Oracle and Sorcerer. Viola.

I don't get this "mystic theurge" thing. Like, you can be a combination of a cleric and wizard? Idgi, why not just be a wizard or a cleric?

It's a really cruddy prestige class from the core rule book. The only thing it has going for it is the ability to share spell slots between arcane and divine classes. And that ain't much.

Yeah not a big fan of mystic theurge
