Advanced Class guide: Shaman- wandering spirit question.

The shamans class ability Wandering spirit isn't clear weather or not the spirit special abilitys granted in addition to, or replace the chosen spirit at character creation.

Any clarification would be very appreciated.

It is a second spirit you have active at the same time as your base spirit. You have access to both spirit's abilities, spirit spells, etc.

It lasts until you next prepare your spells, at which point you may select another wandering spirit (which can be the same as the previous).

so does that mean you can have access to two spirits all the time?

Yes you have access to both of the selected spirits base abilities and may cast the spells from either in your "spirit" slot. Depending on level you may have access to higher abilitiesas stated in the spirit and wandering spirit descriptions.
