Raised character and GP

My character died at the beginning of a scenario (first encounter), the rest of the party completed it, and the character was raised at the end.

My character gains 0 XP, but for gold, I think it is 0 as she didn’t encounter anything. Am I right there?

What did your GM give you?

You should still gain the gold value of the encounter you died in.

really wish there had been someway for the character to get raised before the party continued, but I know it isn't always in the cards. I believe you should get the gold (or use the gold to contribute to the character's raise, at the very least) but the EXP is, unfortunately, gone. The character (or the player, for that matter) needs to get through at least two third of the session to get EXP for it. I have been told this numerous times.

My sheet for The Stoval Stairs looks like swiss cheese.

Yeah, but if you're only getting a handful of gold, and spending all that PP, why would you want the XP? Wouldn't you be better off not advancing in XP, since you wouldn't indvance in either of the other two?

Full XP and gold.

If you were at the whole session, and were raised at the end of it, I don't see why you wouldn't get full xp and gold.

According to the rules, your "character" must contribute in some capacity to two thirds of the scenario or else you recieve 0 EXP and 0 Fame/Prestige. This also applies to characters riding the coat tails and not actually doing anything (characters who hide in fights or do not take part in diplomacy heavy scenarios).

This is why I have a scroll of Raise Dead on my Cav. In case I die at the beginning of the encounter the cleric or oracle can resurrect me immediately and we can continue ahead.

If you are resurrected at the end you are still part of loot though. Usually it is forfeit for the resurrection though unless you use PP.

For the XP, the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organised Play is clear:

Guide to Pathfinder Society Organised Play, p.35 wrote:
Step 3: A PC may receive XP only if he survives the scenario or is raised from the dead by the scenario’s conclusion and completed at least three encounters over the course of the adventure.

For the Fame and Prestige, I don’t see anything indicating that the character doesn’t get anything. What is written is that the missions in the scenario must be completed (p. 24); if the rest of the party managed to do them, it’s fine.
