I still have to get the title and tag/plate transferred at the tax collectors tomorrow, but I just drove home my new-to-me used car tonight. (Hopefully I didn't just jinx things.) That's a colossal weight off my overanxious mind. Praise Sara Marie!

Apparently the groundspeed velocity of an unladen slaad (N. American) is faster than said slaad's credit union fraud prevention department. Praise Sara Marie!

Spoiler:
I stopped at a gas station to fill up my subcompact car (aka Bonaparte) with gas. It was $2.01/gal on the sign and on the pump as I got out of the car. By the time I'd swiped my card, punched in the info, and reached for the filling nozzle, the price on the pump had jumped to $2.15/gal. So I canceled the transaction, hopped back in, and sped drove at my normal speed down the road a couple miles to another station with $2.01/gal gas. Pulled in, got out of Bonaparte, and filled up as usual. Got back in to car and noticed phone had rang: it was my credit union fraud dept. Turns out authorizing my card at the first station's pump and canceling without a purchase is what credit card thieves do with stolen cards, and it sent up an automated red flag. By filling up at the second station, I was only seconds faster than credit union's automated hold on the card. It wasn't a hassle to clear the hold via a quick call to the fraud dept rep, but any slower, and I'd be posting in Cosmo's thread instead.

Also, Praise Sara Marie that I beat this afternoon's gas price spike of an extra 14¢/gal.

Why Sara, does Amby not move up by us, where gas prices are actually going down.

Shakes fist at winter.

I'm pretty sure Sara Marie's gentle first kiss resulted in the glories of winter being shared with humanity, which she originally kept to herself.

Praise Sara Marie that Aldi has come to my locality, and they grand-opened a new store near(ish) me yesterday.

there's one in the mall behind my house. It's having a hard time competing with the shoprite that opened up in the same mall. But it has fans, it's where I go for hot dogs.

Aldi be praised for Sara's benefience in allowing its creation.

Seriously, the only way my folks were able to keep my brother and I fed growing up was because of Aldi.

They refused to get food from the food pantry because at the time, the local food pantry's selections were... sub-par and worse than even generic foodstuffs.

Have you ever had a snippet of music from a song and a vague flash of an image from the song's music video wedged in your brain, like the mnemonic equivalent of a sharp bit of popcorn kernel jammed into the gum between your teeth that you can't. get. out? A snippet of an ear worm nagging at you from your conscious periphery for over six months? Praise Sara Marie I FINALLY FOUND THE DANG THING JUST NOW!!!

Edit: I'm being deliberately vague about which song/video because it is a bit earworm-y, and I don't want to infect the unwilling.
