Does using a Snapleaf incur an AoO?

Rules Questions

If I activate a Snapleaf while in a square threatened by an enemy, do I incur an Attack of Opportunity from that enemy?

No. Activating magic items generally doesn't lead to AoOs (with the exception of potions, oils, and anything that specifically calls it out).

[Edit: And wands/staffs, as they work just like casting spells.]

[Edit2: For some rules quotes:]

PRD, Spell Completion wrote:
Activating a spell completion item is a standard action (or the spell's casting time, whichever is longer) and provokes attacks of opportunity exactly as casting a spell does.
PRD, Spell Trigger wrote:
Activating a spell trigger item is a standard action and does not provoke attacks of opportunity.
PRD, Command Word wrote:
Activating a command word magic item is a standard action and does not provoke attacks of opportunity.
PRD, Use Activated wrote:
Unless stated otherwise, activating a use-activated magic item is either a standard action or not an action at all and does not provoke attacks of opportunity, unless the use involves performing an action that provokes an attack of opportunity in itself.

Snapleaf would fall under the "use-activated" option, which doesn't provoke unless specified.

Based on my reading, no, you would not provoke. It's not a spell completion item, so it wouldn't provoke.

It also only takes and immediate action to activate. Immediate and swift actions don't generally provoke attacks of opportunity--they're just too fast for an opponent to take advantage of.

I don't think that's quite true. I don't recall any specific rule stating that. It's just that most swift actions (well, at one point in time) were quickened spells. And those don't provoke, due to the reasons you mentioned.

Thank you all for the responses.

I think Are pointing out the "Use Activated" listing on the Magic Items section of the PRD pretty much nailed it for me.

Wands don't provoke.

Right, sorry. Just ignore that sentence.
