HeroLab adds kingdom support

Kingmaker

You have to make your own maps, but HeroLab's latest update (w/ the UC pack) has kingdom support.

How well does it work and should I waste the money to buy the UC pack or keep using the xlsx sheet I've been using?

I haven't gotten too far into it yet; just noticed it the other day. IMO, if you're using a sheet already, you ought to stick with the sheet.

I've been playing around with it a little bit and it looks pretty handy so far. I just wish that it had a little more support for the settlement side of things, like if each settlement got its own tab or something.

agreed, I've not been very happy with the kingdom support of herolab.

My KM group will likely start their kingdom in a couple weeks. I'm not sure yet if I want to go with HeroLab or a spreadsheet to track their kingdom.

Based off my (limited) experience with it so far, the Kingdom package for HeroLab is pretty good, but still needs some work. There are still a number of bugs and errors in the data files for it which I expect to be fixed the next time they push out an update, as well as it lacking some features I'd have considered rather important (like better settlement editing options).

I'm using it for my group, with a excel sheet as backup/confirmation, but we're also just about to start book 2 (I had them do six months of kingdom building with no events to get their kingdom setup before I tear it down). If we were further along I'd stick with just the excel sheet as I wouldn't want to put up with the hassle of re-entering all of the kingdom's data.
