[Legendary Games] Mutant Manifesto and Feasting at Lanterngeist

Product Discussion

We have two new products out from our Gothic Adventure Path Plugs-Ins.

Mutant Manifesto and Feasting at Lanterngeist

Both of these will be included in the Gothic Campaign Compendium. However, you can buy them separately as well both here on Paizo and on our site.

What You Will Find Inside the Mutant Manifesto
This supplement explores another of the unusual corners of the world of horror in fantasy gaming: mutants and mutation. Like the alien horrors in Beyond the Void or the sinister science described in the Mad Doctor’s Formulary, the Mutant Manifesto blurs the lines between science fiction and fantasy through the lens of horror. The idea of mutation in the natural sense is nothing new, as attested to by the great variety of things in nature itself, and channeling those natural processes is a bedrock principle of civilization, but taking things to their most awful extreme is what takes mundane acts of botany and biology and pushes them into the realm of terror that shatters first the body and then the mind.

Within these pages you will find a dozen sinister spells dealing with the corruption and transfiguration of the flesh, along with feats and alchemical discoveries that take mutation to a whole new level. The Deviant wizard archetype is a master of the fearful science of warping the bodies of others, while the Xenocidist ranger archetype embodies every impulse–both rational and paranoid–to cull the mutant problem from the pure strain of society lest it spread and destroy all. All of these terrible secrets are explored in another classic grimoire, Omnia Mutandis, penned by a family of deranged genegineers who pioneered their depraved art and left their terrible secrets behind them to rise up in again and again in a twisted legacy.

The Legendary Games tradition is to combine rich story and background, innovative layout, beautiful aesthetics, and excellence in design that is second to none. This product is the latest in that tradition, and we hope you enjoy using it as much as we enjoyed making it.

Feasting at Lanterngeist is a short adventure written by Greg A. Vaughan designed to be set in any isolated fishing village where 9th– to 10th-level PCs may find themselves investigating the rumors of missing persons. The adventure provides several challenges and rewards.

I'm in love with the Mutant Manifesto just by reading the description. I have a game that could use it, genetic purity and all that jazz floats in most societies as well as for science fantasy games.(Gamma World I'm looking at you.)

The site isn't giving me a pdf option -- it's print with shipping or nothing.

Picked these up on DTRPG with birthday money. They're really cool.

Feasting At Lanterngeist has a very interesting flair that fits well before Wake of the Watchers but doesn't feel like it is a theme clone. Rather, it is it's own monster and manages to add some good foreshadowing without revealing what comes up next in the AP. On par with the other two Gothic plug-ins, well done!

Mutant Manifesto is just as interesting. Lots about eugenics, mutations, and fanatical generic-purists, giving feats, spells, archetypes, ect. that fit along those themes. The only real thing that I wanted in the PDF that was not included was a bevy of supernatural mutations, but that's more my own expectations than any flaw on LG's part.

I would give 4.5/5 or 5/5 for each if I had the time to post a lengthy enough review, but am busy putting together details for 3 campaigns.

Also, Evil Midnight Lurker, the PDFs are available on Drivethrurpg.

Just adding 2 copper pieces while I wait on replies from my campaigns.

Yes, but I'd rather support Legendary a bit more by purchasing direct.

We much appreciate the thankful support, and the added $$$ that stays in our pockets vs. the 20-35% that goes to a distributor website. Let me go check on the product page and I'll see what's up...

... and when I took a close look at the admin side of the product page I found out the problem. There was a box for "disregard shipping for this product" that I forgot to check when hastily uploading these two new products last night. Even though they are PDFs, it was trying to calculate shipping.

That box has now been checked and the pages updated, so you should be able to go and get it with no problem now. If you run into any other issues, let me know and thanks as always.

Thanks much for the kind words.

If you can take just a few minutes to post up a few sentences or even just mark your "star rating" over on DrivethruRPG (since you purchased it there), I would be most appreciative. You can rate it other places too, but DrivethruRPG only allows raters if they are verified purchasers from their site, so it would be great if you could make your happiness with the products known in abbreviated form, even if you don't have time for a long review.

Thanks!

I think you need to go through the whole site, because I checked out a few others and it's trying to charge both shipping and sales tax on everything so far.

Alrighty, I've gone through and made sure that the "disregard shipping" button is checked for every non-print product, so that should be A-OK. Check and see if the sales tax issue is persisting, as it should not be charging tax to anyone outside the state of Washington, USA. If it is, email me over at makeyourgamelegendary@gmail.com and I'll have Rachel check that side of the system.

Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience!

Also make sure you change the state on the form. Mine was defaulting to WA so it showed the tax but as soon as I changed the state it changed it to 0. Sorry for the hiccups. We are getting our site ready for print products. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Okay, finally got it, thanks all. :)

...Arnim? Wyndam? Nathaniel? Essex? Edgar? Herbert? Zola?! My, what a lot of suggestive names this Morrodox family has. ^.^

Hey, what's the point of having your own game company if you can't have at least a LITTLE fun every once in a while! You don't wanna go overboard, but a little drop now and then keeps the heart happy. :)

Are you Easter-egging again?
