Soundtrack to a final battle against a priest of Cyth V'Sug

Advice

My players are coming up to the final, dramatic fight with the BBEG they've been chasing around for a while. He's a Worm That Walks that is a powerful priest of Cyth V'Sug that's unleashed a massive plague of vermin and fungus that's covered about half the planet at this point.

I want to make this fight feel as important as possible, so I want to accompany it with a good, epic soundtrack, but... I haven't a clue of even a TYPE of music to go for that's both epic enough and still reflects the gross fungus-and-worminess of the fight.

Suggestions?

Liberty's Edge

Just off the top of my head, go for the God of War soundtracks, especially II and III.

More specifically:

God of War
Battle the Lethal Sirens
Minotaur Boss Battle

God of War II
Colossus of Rhodes
Battle for the Skies
The Barbarian King Returns
Battle in the Bog
Phoenix Rising

God of War III
Poseidon's Wrath
Labor of Destruction
Duel with Hades
Stalker
Brothers of Blood
Rage of Sparta

Also, if you can find albums of Two Steps From Hell (or pull them up via GrooveShark or something similar), they have pretty good epic music.

Song of Storms

Fantastic! Thank you.

Nox arcana and Midnight Syndicate might have some suitable songs. I also enjoy Pirates of the Caribbean OST, specifically the songs played when the Kraken appears!

Edit: You can easily find any of these on youtube if you have a laptop handy during the game. Try searching for the artist with "battle music" in the search as well. In fact, a general search for "fantasy battle music" will turn up a lot of results.

Another very helpful list of suggestions. Thank you!

Hmm, not sure if it TOTALLY fits the "Evil" part of this encounter, but I find that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFpvOGCBSTg is an INSANELY dramatic final boss fight theme - Valkyrie Profile 2 Unrestrained Struggle

You could also try many of Dark Soul's themes; Gwyn, Manus, The Gaping Dragon, Artorias of the Abyss, and Black Dragon Kalameet.

I agree with Crank up above, Two Steps From Hell offers the best music for action

EDIT: Manus is the creepiest of the suggestions, and the Four Kings would work well too, but if you want gross and just eerie (maybe?) Try looking up Turok 2 - Lair of the Blind Ones Extended

I'm ashamed I didn't think of Dark Souls. =/

Tis alright friend haha I just tried to think of one of my games that would have music best suited for a Worm that Walks

NOTE: I completely forgot; try Pinwheel's theme or Gravelord Nito's theme, they would work almost perfectly I believe

James Horner - Glory soundtrack, Charging Fort Wagner
Holst - Planets, Mars bringer of war
Philip Glass - Kundun, escape to India
Two Steps from Hell - pretty much anything
Basil Poledouris - Conan (if you are not sick of it about now)
Bear McReady - Battlestar Galactica - Scar
E.S. Posthumus - Uneartherd, Tikal, Ebla, Lepcis Magna, and Pompeii
Geinoh Yamashirogumi - Akira Soundtrack, Kaneda
Inon Zur, Dragon age 2 soundtrack has several good tracks.

I have several playlists on my phone each one titled for the mood I'm looking for.

Battle
Adventure
Drama
Tavern
Tension
Dungeon

I just put them on shuffle and let it play quietly in the background.

Oh! Also look up anything from the Dynasty Warriors games potentially too. They may not fit some settings, but they have OUTSTANDING battle music

My personal favorite being Welcome to China
