...just to say that this is without a doubt the most gorgeously illustrated and decorated AP we've seen. Just absolutely amazing. Well done Wayne Reynolds and all of those interior artists who's talent and passion for the subject matter shine through. It adds so very much to the experience as a gamer and as a GM.

I kinda disagree, in that the art style of a good number of drawings isn't my cup of cake. But that's my individual taste speaking, not a claim of factuality. ;)

While I very much enjoy WAR's covers, I otherwise have to agree with magnuskn regarding the interior artwork for the most part. One of the things I disliked about the recent Worldwound Sourcebook was the interior artwork & it looks like they commissioned the same artist for most of the interior artwork in this. I'm glad that someone likes it, but it is really not my cuppa.

yeah, I'm going to go with Reign of Winter on that one.

Art is a mix of love/hate. I love Aron's interior cover picture, but the picture in his write-up for example is lackluster.

The artwork by Arnold Tsang in RotRL #1 is still my favorite artwork ever in a Paizo product. However, I will not deny that WotR has some brilliant art as well.

I'm running this campaign online with a VTT and Google Hangouts. The Hangout has a feature that allows me to share my screen. I made a quick PowerPoint presentation from a number of artwork frames in the book.

During the intro, I ran through the slides shared with my players. The art style gave a cool feeling of movement that helped convey the feeling of the moment. All in all, I think the artwork is pretty good and worked well for what I wanted to do.

I don't know about you guys, but Skull and Shackles was my favorite as far as illustrations.

But.. that scene of the paladin pulling the cavalier out from the rubble while seeing the broken and blasted city? Amazing. So there certainly is plenty of amazing art in this one as well.

I read over 100 webcomics a week. I see art that ranges from stick figures to watercolor art. The art Paizo commissions is professional and well done and I have absolutely no problem with it. Because trust me. It could be far worse. ^^;;
