After Neil and I finished up our Skype interview with All Games Considered (which we will link from our Kickstarter page as soon as it is up and available), we had a little Skype pow-wow of our own. Some verrrry interesting bonus pledge items are afoot. More information to unveiled as our second week begins!

Thanks for all the energy folks. We're over 50% funded in the first 6 days of the Kickstarter. At this point, there's 9 days remaining, so please do keep spreading the word. We'd like to not only fund, but hit some of those stretch goals, too. In particular, 300 backers would bring on Greg Vaughan's new gothic-themed adventure. And, the higher we go, the higher the page-count climbs in the eventual hardcover book as we add more and more content. Most of this content is ready to go, so you won't have to wait very long to get this print product into your hands. Be sure to tell all your friends and bring them to the table so they too can make their games Legendary! :-)

If I may make a suggestion - allowing the PDF/print versions of the Kingmaker or Jade Regent content (the $15/$25 option) up front vs. waiting to add them into the KS later on would be a direct boost to the money as most people would add in one or two of the options (I would do the kingmaker option, pdf and print).
I think holding these back as a "not available option" is hurting this KS. IMO of course.
I don't think these should be bonus goals but should be part of the main KS, since it plays to your strength (phenomenal content). Not asking for for fancy print hardcovers for these add-ons, just something in print. And the pdf bundles for each plug-in could be what's already sold on your site or Paizo (6 pdfs for each plug-in), just as a discounted bundle and optioned as one pdf.
The kingmaker PDFs total list at $43.94 USD, I would easily add 30-35 bucks to the KS just for some discounted pdfs (maybe indexed against each other). Plus it would be more of a draw (new pledges).
I would add even more for a print option, even a non-hardcover and incomplete (6 pdfs vs. what you have already put in for Carrion crown).
Just an idea.

I think you hit the nail on the head as to why this isn't moving faster. What I really want is the bonus adventure content for all the APs. As is, we will be lucky to see any of the additional adventure content for the other APs in print (because they are ambitious stretch goals only). I am currently in for $50 to try and help the cause but, if we can't get any of the extra AP adventure content in print, I may reconsider my pledge and just purchase PDF versions of the content I want instead. Either way, I love Legendary Games and appreciate what they are trying to do here. I do hope they consider your suggestions on how to potentially restructure the KS to be more effective.

Hey Jason if you guys fund do you how much the book will retail in gaming stores?
Final MSRP will depend on the size of the final product, which will depend on the funding success of the Kickstarter, but if we were to order the full compilation of all Gothic plug-ins, I believe that would make it about a 272-page hardback, which would probably retail for ****gggaaaacckkkkk*****

I'm with Auxmaulous and Technotrooper - I checked out the KS and couldn't seem to perceive why it was scaled/created the way it was. I'm completely uninterested in hardcovers - I'm pretty keen just for awesome content, for more than just one AP. from the initial name, I thought that was the goal - but this seems to be just to fund one...

I have a few KS projects currently pledged. However, my wallet screams in agony and I'm going to be trimming down my pledges soon. However, your latest update not only placed this KS in a MUST PLEDGE status, I'm also increasing my pledge to get the other two compilations. This is one hell of an update to receive and applaud how much you're offering. My bang to buck ratio has been thoroughly optimized. Thanks, guys!

Agreed. If we make $32,000 then people at the $55 level will get a 240 page, 208 page and 160 page hardcover - all in colour (and be able to add all the PDFs for $15). That's a pretty amazing price per book.
I wonder whether you should look into the shipping issue. Will we need to add more than the $25 international for shipping if we end up getting more than one book?

We launched a Kickstarter... yeah I know what you all are thinking, we must be crazy with all the other Kickstarters up and running. But we had it planned long before the awesome Bones II was launched so what is a small 3PP to do? Well this is what we are going to do, we are going to spread the news like wildfire and get this thing funded. We are only running for 2 weeks so help us out. You can back the LG Kickstarter and then share share share!!! Like as in everyday, okay maybe not that much but every few days would be great. Or simply email your friends directly and tell them that our products rock and we need their help to make this happen. So what do you say? http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/legendarygames/legendary-games-pathfind er-books-in-print

I've heard really good things about this line...so they make plug-in pdfs for the different APs yeah? So if we hit stretch goals we get Carrion Crown support, Jade Reagent and Kingmaker yeah? How was the stuff for the Piratical themed one...since I just ordered Razor Coast n all too ;p
They don't have S&S support YET, but it was backdoor announced I think with new backer levels that they're working on it. ;)

Yep. In fact, I think there are two slots left at the Creature of the Black Lagoon Level allowing *YOU* to work with Superstar author Matt Goodall to develop your own private island or pirate ship and crew for him to include in a product he's writing RIGHT NOW for the upcoming Pirate Adventure Path Plug-Ins!

Yes, I'm curious about this shipping question too...

With 3 days left we have only 15% left to go. That's less than 2K! Also we are super close to the next backer goal as well. SHARE THIS POST PLEASE!
To help spread the word here is a free copy of a Gothic Hero. Please share it with your gamers and encourage them to back this project.
Gothic Hero: Dominnia Vorsaife: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/68744043/Gothic%20Heroes%20Sample.pdf
Every backer at any amount helps us spread the word as well as grow our company so thank you to each of you who have done so much to help spread awareness!
To give back a little in the next year we will be helping out some smaller cons/events by sending them books. You will see our books at ConTessa, Storm Con, and Iron GM as giveaways and prizes.
If you know of a con that needs some help have them contact us!

I know it’s late in the game but if I may offer another suggestion - and I don't know the feasibility on this one since it extends to product that has yet to be written so bear with me:
Would LG consider adding in the option (and add-on cost) for plug in lines that are still in layout and are unannounced? Since the end product is going to be released in around 6 months time (earliest) would that be enough time to include undeveloped plug-ins as part of the final offer?
That is either a full mythic, pirate, righteous, kingdom building, steel gods, etc, plug-ins as part of the kickstarter? I know part of the ease of this offering is that most if not all of the material is actually already made, and then there is the issue of fulfilling an obligation against a clock. But maybe include another line of options for the most developed yet unreleased/unannounced plug-in line?
I know writing up multiple installments for a variety of APs/rules supplement in a short time is impossible and impractical, but maybe an offering of the one that is currently furthest in layout or development? IDK which one you guys are planning on expanding since that is LG insider info.
I have no idea if you are detailing each AP with individual support plug-ins one at a time, based on resources/writers or if you have a general idea of a full 5-12 product layout for some completed APs (such as Skulls and Shackles) as they are released (or even written, since you have the some of the same writers).
If you have another line in development you could probably offer up a title list of products of projected works and people would throw money at the chance for the pdfs and/or hardcover or print option for them a year from now. I know I would.
Just an idea, I wouldn’t want you guys spread out so thin – but again, a good number of what you are offering has already been written and I am assuming you plan on producing more as a publisher. I wouldn’t mind banking on product that you will be producing but have yet to fully develop and I think others wouldn’t mind making that investment since you have already proven yourselves capable. I just don’t know your resource limits or how feasible it would be to write out and print 5-12 items for a single unannounced plug-in line before the summer of 2014.
Anyway, just a thought.

Okay, I'm in! Getting both the Kingdom Building and Far East plug ins was too good to pass up.
That Far East Compilation Add-On is a great deal. Three great adventures and more. Both Add-ons are good ideas in fact are in fact. Everything in both those lines got really really great reviews.

Thanks so much for the support everybody! We've also added a new bonus goal - if we can hit $15,000 not only will everybody get a free issue of Open Gaming Monthly courtesy of John Reyst, but we will also be including Greg Vaughan's adventure Feasting at Lanterngeist and the final Gothic Grimoire, Omnia Mutandis, in the compilation, bringing the total up to 256 or 272 pages (pending final layout)! If you've already pledged, thank you so much, and consider adding $10 to support the final push to the end (and getting your book signed by me in my finest calligraphy). If you're not already on board, go to our Kickstarter page now!!!

I'd like to make an argument in favor of longer kickstarters: they create a wider window in which potential backers may be able to support you. For sad example, yesterday I felt compelled to withdraw my pledge due to financial crunch time. If this had been a month long and started at the same time, I'd still be in. :(
