It's probably more accurate to say:

6 grumpy dwarf experts
1 non-grumpy dwarf expert
1 narcoleptic human female aristocrat

Took me a minute, but I got it. Brilliant you are.

1 - male human fighter. To lead his men to battle; single-handedly defeat monsters (and their Mothers); become king; and finally battle a fire-breathing dragon.

Everyone else gets to pretty much stand around and bear witness to his awesomeness...right up until the time he gets roasted and poisoned.

3) Human male Cleric focused on healing
4) Elven male Ranger with Ranged style

6) Dwarf male Fighter specializing in axes

Human female bard/ commoner with Perform: Oratory.
Gnome male rogue/ ranger (favored enemy: fey).
Big, hairy ogre male with Int 3 and Stone Call as an SLA.
Awakened tiny dog male cavalier with riding dog mount.

Their opponent is a sexy wizard.

5 bards.

On vocals: the leader and face for the party
On String: second in command and is a complementary opposite of the leader
On keyboard: The brains, physically weak but knows everything, and often makes the plans once a course of action is determined.
On drums: the big guy, can intimidate others and generally ends up being the muscle. Sort of dumb and simple.
The girl: back up vocals, fills in where needed. The glue that holds the group together. Played as an NPC by the GM.

Yeah, so the 5 man band trope...

and c'mon, you know you want to play an all bard party making optimal use of the archetypes available.

Male Human Fighter with Greatsword

Female Human Rogue with Longbow (and a treasure fetish)
Male Dwarf Cleric (now with vampire template)
Male (probably) Elf Wizard

Then have as what is effectively the rogue's cohort:
Male Human Bard

And as the fighter's quasi-cohort:

Male Halfling Ranger (with psychopath template)

Just make sure they are played very two-dimensionally......

I see what you did there!

Well, we played on friday, and for the record...

Dragon's Demand obituary:
The guy that made a Drizzt (Two weapon fighting drow) ended up failing basically every single dice roll of the day. He curled up and died of hunger pains when someone tried to poison the hungry ghost in the collapsed tower. So much for destiny.

The hero, the "princess", the comic relief guy.

Translated: male fighter w/ sword, female mage or cleric, male rogue.

The characters all had their parents killed by orcs. Or otherwise orphans.

If they were killed by smurfs, now that would be fun.
