Half-orc Scarred Witch Doctor here I come!

Even better; though from a fluff standpoint, Changelings are sterile and don't produce offspring, there's no strict restriction that says you can't take Racial Heritage (Changeling) so you could be a Half-Orc with Racial Heritage Changeling and combine the Orc's Scarred Witch Doctor archetype with the Changeling Dreamweaver archetype. Alter someone's dreams and memories and base the DC off your Con score. At Witch 10, you can Magic Jar a sleeping creature as a hex and store their soul in your familiar (which, via scarred witch doctor, is your mask). How's that for nightmare fuel; stuck in an inanimate wooden mask while your body is commanded by someone else's will.

So, now a Half-Orc, can take the Racial Heritage feat, and choose Half-Elf.

Scarred Witchdoctor with Paragon Surge.

Ha ha, good find.

Thankfully there may be some defence against this broken freak.

In Classic Monsters Revisited P54, it says of Orcs: "Elves are one of the few humanoid races with which an orc crossbreed is simply impossible"

The lines get blurred with the half-breeds though.

That probably has as much to do with avoiding lawsuits from the Tolkien estate as anything. Uruk-Hai are copyrighted.

I think this has been a point of contention around here, and I believe the answer is no. You cannot take orc race archetype as a half-orc.

They link you gave says: "Yes. Half-elves and half-orcs may select racial favored class options, archetypes, traits, and so on, as if they were a full member of both races (a half-elf can select elf and human rules elements, a half-orc can select human and orc rules elements).

Edit 9/26/13: This is a reversal of an earlier ruling. This resolves a discrepancy between this FAQ and two Advanced Player's Guide FAQs."

You realize that post was made before the FAQ, and that this thread has been dead for 6 years, right?

I'd go further and say that post (and this thread) was probably the reason for the change in the FAQ (the FAQ edit was one day after the poast that was referred to).

Also Pelorix, just to help you reply in the future, the reply button is at the TOP right of the post you're referring to, not the bottom right (you clearly meant to reply to the post above the one you clicked).

Welcome (back?) To the boards.

That's where homebrew comes into play. I actually made an elf-orc race just for the fun of it.

All things are possible through horrible experimentation with forbidden magicks and unethical alchemy.
