So I guess there is no problem just mixing all the cards together from the base set (B) and the first (1) expansion?

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

Just got the core set box home, read the instructions and want to single play my first scenario (Brigandoom!).

I know the instruction manual said to wait including the first expansion cards (Burnt Offerings), but I assume in the long run (especially when the other expansions are out (2,3,4,5,6)) that you just append all the cards into super decks of items, spells, etc, right?

The way it's designed, you don't add Adventure Pack 1 cards into the decks until you start playing AP1. The loot is better than the balance of the starter scenarios, and the monsters are tougher than you may be able to handle. This will increase with later expansions.

Later expansions also have a way of culling out earlier set cards as they'll (at a later point, not now) require you to literally remove banished cards with the Basic trait from the game entirely (not just to the box), and presumably further measures from there.

Ah, ok. Makes sense - Thanks :-)

After a few plays, once I reached the second adventure deck I just leave it in. If I start a new character, it's like a small bonus, the possibility of better loot but at the same time having to handle tougher monsters. It's worked out fine so far.
