Since FGG is pretty much my favorite adventure creation RPG company (even edging out Paizo for fun adventures, and tied with Fire Mountain Games, but FMG has a pretty rotten track record for sticking to promised release dates, a subject for a different thread...) I found myself recently thinking about the sorts of content I'd like to see from FGG over the next 12-24 months.
Note: My group runs campaigns totally online using d20Pro and Hero Lab files, so a lot of this revolves around electronic HL and d20Pro product support, which FGG has done better than any other RPG IMHO.
1. Pathfinder conversion of the City of Brass using the new Mythic rules: I recently started another thread on this topic here. 'Nuff said.
2. Slumbering Tsar Hero Lab files: I was HUGELY disappointed to see that the recent MindGene d20Pro Kickstarter for adding FGG content didn't include Slumbering Tsar somewhere (base reward, stretch goal, etc). Guys, I get it. ST is a MASSIVE adventure requiring a MASSIVE amount of effort to generate d20Pro maps and HL files. That's exactly why we need it. I'd pay 20$-25$ for the ST HL files, approximately twice what I paid for the Stoneheart Valley files. PLEASE figure out some way to do this. It's just too big for individual GMs to tackle ourselves. The dang book is gathering dust on my bookshelf until I can find some HL files for it.
...as a bonus, I'd love to see some more high level stuff added to ST to help fill out the level 16-20 range content...maybe some Mythic stuff here too? Which leads me to #3...
3. A high level campaign, like for levels 11 - 20. Between City of Brass, Rappan Athuk and Slumbering Tsar, FGG has proven it has the chops to create some high quality high level content. A campaign based based around high level play would be the cat's meow. I didn't include Fane of the Fallen in that list because, even though it is listed as being for levels 13 - 18, it is probably my least favorite FGG product. Sorry, but there it is. Not every product is going to be everyone's cup of tea, and that one just left me cold.
4. The Sword of Air: You've already announced this one is in the works and I couldn't be happier about it. I'll be pledging on day 1 of the Kickstarter. All I ask, and you'll see a consistent theme here, please include a significant amount of high level content....trying to fill in gaps in content for levels 16-20 can be a *!%#^.
5. Conversions of 3.5 material: I already mentioned City of Brass but there are still some real classics to tackle after Crucible of Freya and Tomb of Abysthor (and hopefully CoB). My personal choices would be Lost City of Barakus, Trouble at Durbenford and Bard's Gate. I'm a big believer in a nice balance of new material from FGG and Pathfinder touch ups of the 3.5 classics.
Anyhoo, I'll end this like I started it: with praise. FGG is my favorite RPG company because a) you guys make great adventures that really do feel old school and b) you provide excellent electronic product support in the form of HL and d20Pro files. Whether or not you do indeed produce any of the products mentioned above (although at least the SoA is a done deal it sounds like) I am sure I will greatly enjoy whatever you guys do end up releasing!

Are you aware that the new "Stoneheart Vally" is a Pathfinder conversion of "The Wizards Amulet", "The Crucible of Freya", and "The tomb of Abysthor"?
He did reference it in his post:

FGG is also one of my favorite RPG companies, but they have recently been struggling to deliver on their Rappan Athuk and Cyclopean Deeps subscriptions. My advice to them would be to take care of those commitments, stay focused on quality over quantity, and not get ahead of themselves in the coming year.

2. *Whistles quietly in the corner while hiding his notes...* "My pressssioussssss....must not let them see my pressssioussss......"
3. What about the "Splinters of Faith" books? I haven't really read or looked at them deeply, but they have pretty colors so I am intrigued. :) (I really have not looked at them, and thought it would be a good way to slip it in for some feedback on it. lol)
5. They have already listed several books they are adding the next year or two that are going to do just that.

I would love to see a pre-adventure written for Slumber Tsar that goes from levels 1-6.
I'm going to use Crucible of Freya and Abysthor for this (if ST ever gets HL file support). If Lost City of Barakus or Vault of Larin Karr was PF converted I'd consider those too.
On the subject of ST, recognizing how heavy a lift the HL and d20Pro support would be, I'd even pledge to a Kickstarter that was dedicated to that project. Of course, convincing Greg to work up a couple new, preferably high level Mythic rules-centric, ST levels, specifically for such a KS, would sweeten the deal all around... they could even be digital content only, just to streamline final product distribution and avoid any late night box packing/shipping sessions by the Frogs...
Just a thought...

I really don't want "mythic" content in FGG products.
Mythic may be a good tool for Paizo to tell epic level stories with non-epic characters, but to me it's a system cheat that forces a certain style I'm not interested in.
In general, we are not currently supporting mythic rules.
Now, there could be exceptions (like we always do), but it's not in our game plan right now. We might offer suggestions in an Appendix or something, but main content won't see mythic for the foreseeable future (unless something changes tomorrow, which is sorta how its been in the past...)

I'm not unhappy with that decision I must say!
I'm also keen on 'new' modules being set in that world - yes, love to see updates of Bard's Gate, Barakus etc, but at the same time let's see that material being expanded on, or continued in new ways. Having said that, one of my faves was Hall of the Rainbow Mage - I'm not sure it was ever one of the more popular FG books but I and my players had a great time adventuring there. Love to see a follow up to that.

And anything else that is attached to Rappan Athuk. It seems there are some modules that have links to the Granddaddy and the sandbox that RA is there is no telling where a group may go. Rather than convert and such I would just like to have that work predone...
Ok, I am lazy. I admit it...

I know Skeeter replied to this already, but I just wanted to say that I completely agree with DaveMage.
Please keep "mythic" content out of FGG products.

Five suggestions for products I would love to see from FGG:
1. Iron Gods got me thinking, a fantasy/sci-fi module inspired/influenced by Expedition to the Barrier Peaks. I would be curious to see what Bill and the gang could come up with when they mix some sci fi and fantasy.
2. The frozen realm ruled by vampires adventure that Logue and Pett were going to do after Razor Coast. Cool concept, and I would love to see how both executed it.
3. A wizards/hierophants/psyurges dwelling/adventure/setting. Tegal Manor, the Ghost Tower of Inverness, and the Lost Island of Castanamir were all neat settings that had hooks that made for memorable sessions (beware the portraits in Tegal Manor).
4. Exploration of a ruined civilization/site. While Slumbering Tsar provides a huge sandcrawly area thats great for exploration, it would be cool to have something less in the Citadel of Orcus/everything is evil and out to kill you vein and more in the clyclopean/realms of the unknown/Robert Howard-Lovecraftian weirdness vein. Some of the settings in All That Glitters and Against the Cult of the Reptile God come to mind.
5. A murder mystery/deduction adventure. Although the authors would have to figure out how to block/sidestep divination (or make it low level enough that those spells could not be used), something in the vein of the Assassin's Knot would be interesting if well executed.

Who needs wussy mythic content when you have monsters with CRs that go well past 30?
I could live w/o Mythic content if we had a high level (11-20) campaign instead...Mythic seems like the natural way to stat a creature like the Sultan of the efreet or Tsathogga, but I'm flexible. I just could really use some content that challenges, levels and motivates characters from 16-20.

I was quite happy that the Lost Lands kicked off with my favorite adventure, Tomb of Abysthor (as a trilogy, no less!).
I'd love to see FGG and Paizo reach an agreement regarding the PF Adventure Card Game. A couple expansions using monsters (TOH 1-4 anyone?), characters, adventures (Razor Coast, Tsar, Northlands...), etc from FGG products would be a blast.
I'm on board for the rest of Rise of the Runelords, but I would certainly buy an expansion or two from FGG. It wouldn't tax Paizo's resources and it would add a new flavor to the base game.
BTW, if you haven't played the Card Game yet, it's got my vote for best PF-related product yet, supplanting The Inner Sea World Guide.

Love see something similar to Assassin's Knot as well as the Secret of Bone Hill. Always thought they made a great jumping off point.

for me:
1: more Northlands Saga tales, it seems to be stuck on part 4, the blurb mentions 10 parts, I have a Conan type campaign in the pipeline and these adventures are perfect for that.
2: Similar to Tzzarg, a PROPER lost city/expedition type adventure ie similar to Serpents Skull but done correctly set in a jungle setting but no huge underealm area, stick to the city and ruins just below ground with a very Indiana Jones feel, huge like the excellent Slumbering Tsar though. If anyone can pull it off it would be you guys.
3: An Arabian feel campaign, I miss Al-quadim.
4: More conversions of old Necromancer products are always welcome, I love the Stoneheart Valley and Rappan books.
5: Keep up the work with the Lost Lands campaign setting. It would be nice to have another setting for Pathfinder

1: Is being worked on currently.
2: Maaaay-be3: Like something called Dunes of Desolation? In the works now.
4: Like [redacted]? Coming next year!
5: Will do. Sword of Air will be a significant chuck of the area.

John Benbo wrote:I was flipping through Dread Saecaroth last night and was wondering if anymore levels were coming out.No, that module is complete.
That's disappointing, given that the first bit under GM Notes says the following:
Dread Saecaroth is the first module in a series outlining the ten levels of a mega-dungeon. The mega-dungeon is a time honored tradition in the history of fantasy role playing games, and the author hopes this one will not disappoint.

I would love to see an sandbox adventure/environs book similar to Vault of Larin Karr - a mod/campaign that I expanded and ran for over 8 years!
Something in this vein of Secret of Bone Hill (a very undervalued module imo), would be welcome.
Necro had a very good track record of releasing most of their modules with a solid environs workup. This is invaluable to me as a DM - I don't care if I am running the presented campaign world or not - though I would buy a Lost Lands camapign box/book/tablets/wall etchings or whatever the hell format you guys decide to release it in.
The environs stuff is so good that I will bend it and modify it to fit my current campaign (1st/2nd ed feel Forgotten Realms). Or if you just released the Lost Lands I wouldn't need to change anything and would run that campaign world instead.

I'll do you one better - give them a remote chunk of Golarion to develop and work on a joint AP produced by Paizo and FGG. It will be the opposite of Mythic in power, more of a "Classic" (re: you're probably going to die) feel.
I would love to see FGG release a "Classic" ruleset for PF - stripping away some of the power gains in 3rd/PF, but I would just be happy to see a joint venture AP between the two companies.
For now....

We did, it's called Swords & Wizardry. Stripped out all the bloat from everything beyond 0E.

You did - I guess my definition of Classic is the 1st/2nd ed rule set. So I'm not looking for a retro clone, but a d20 based edition that is made with the Necro/FGG attitude that takes the best part of d20 gaming (open numbers for AC and saves) but jettisons the high end PF power ups (unlimited HD for PCs, superfluous hp and damage, and too many things to list in a polite thread).
Basically your take on 3rd ed, not a reboot of 0E.
What I mean is - c'mon Skeeter, I'm a gamer - and I won't be happy with a rule system unless I get exactly what I want.

Hmm, well.......bummer! lol
I can categorically state; That ain't gonna happen. I'm still pretty amazed Paizo pulled it off. You do know, there are only a few of us in the company, right? And most of us have day jobs, or are in school?
