Ranger Animal Companion Tricks

My wife's ranger is going to be level 4 soon and cant wait for her new wolf. I am trying to get ready to help her with it but not 100% sure how man tricks he will have. Is it 3 plus his bonus on the druid chart at ranger -3?

Then at level 5 she wants to take boon companion to make her wolf even better, jumping her wolf to a level 5 companion, then how many will she have assuming the +1 stat is not put in Int?

3 tricks per point of Intelligence plus a number of bonus tricks according to the Animal Companion chart.

Animals can have 3 tricks per intelligence point plus any bonus tricks indicated on the Animal companion chart. This means that wolf will have a total of 7 tricks when your wife's ranger acquires it, then it will gain another bonus trick upon applying boon companion.

Three tricks per point of intelligence. At level five an animal companion goes from having one bonus trick to two. So the wolf would gain one trick.

ok so 7 at ranger level 4, then 8 at ranger level 5 with boon companion? Thanks guys

I highly recommend Attack, Attack (yes, twice), Down,Defend, Flank*, Heel, Seek.

*from the animal archive, which you should pick up if you have a critter.

sounds like a good setup. We will be picking up animal archive soon, as it is needed for boon companion in PFS I believe.
